The only thing I want this Prime Day is the official Stardew Valley cookbook

Stardew Valley is full of very appetising dishes. Fancy a Vegetable Medley? How about some Trout Soup? Mmm, Seafoam Pudding! I don't know what Lobster Bisque is, but I'll have some of that too. It may come as a surprise to some, but a lot of the food in Stardew Valley can be eaten IRL. Yes, something called bisque exists, and reassuringly, it's French.

The Official Stardew Valley cookbook presumably has at least some of the delights I've listed above, with a total of 50 recipes concocted by Stardew creator Eric Barone, who is co-author with Ryan Novak. According to Barone himself, the recipes include Lucky Lunch, Strange Bun, Seafoam Pudding (yes!), Pink Cake "and much more".

For all these reasons and more (I just love cookbooks), I've decided to break free of my resistance to impulse purchases and buy the Official Stardew Valley cookbook during Prime Day. It's currently going for 55% off, bringing it down from AU$55 to AU$21.17.

If you're not entirely convinced about the actual utility of a Stardew Valley-themed cookbook, you can actually sample the Lucky Lunch recipe over on the official website. I like what I see.

Honestly, if you're going to buy a videogame cookbook it's gotta be this one. The World of Warcraft official cookbook is also on sale (AU$24.28, down from AU$49.99) and, well, I dunno about that one. If you're looking for more ~~cookbook~~ PC gaming Prime Day bargains, check out our guide.
