Amazon Prime Day deals 2023

The Prime Day summer sales event is technically over, but in reality there are still tons of deals still going, so you're not too late. All the major retailers are still offering deals on gaming PCs, laptops, monitors, graphics cards, and more with some tasty price cuts. Many vendors have used the event to clear the path for new models appearing later in the year, and are still clearing stock for a while yet. So now's the time to snag the best gaming PC or gaming laptop, or even just a new fast SSD for more storage, all with some precious pounds sliced off the price tag.

👉All the Prime Day deals on Amazon👈

Of course, it's important that you check every deal carefully, as what might look like a great deal could well be a sneaky trap to lure you in. One common practice is to bump prices up before a sales event to make the discount look really big and for Amazon's sale event, price-tracking service CamelCamelCamel is a must-have tool. With that, you'll be able to spot if a discount is genuinely big and ensure that you don't end up with a nasty case of post-sales buyer's remorse.

With online retailers battling for your hard-earned money, Amazon's competitors have been joining in on the sales action, and most are still offering price cuts on top gaming PCs and laptops, to steal some thunder from Mr Bezos' revenue sheet. But if you're worried you've missed out on the best deals, have no fear—that's exactly what we're here for and we will regularly update this page on the best PC gaming deals for a while yet.

How do I become a Prime member for Amazon Prime Day?

You can sign up to become a Prime member via Amazon's Prime membership page. And the first 30-days are free! You will have to create an Amazon account and provide payment card details, however. If you only want the Prime benefits for Prime Day itself and not as a recurring subscription after, you can cancel your membership before the 30 day period ends.

Where are the best Amazon Prime Day PC gaming deals?

Other retailers are likely to take advantage of Amazon's own sale to get their own summer sales events kickstarted.

Amazon Prime Day top deals

1. Scan Aurum | Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RTX 4070 Ti Super | 32 GB DDR5-5200 | 1 TB SSD | £1849.98 at Amazon

1. Scan Aurum | Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RTX 4070 Ti Super | 32 GB DDR5-5200 | 1 TB SSD | £1849.98 at Amazon
This Scan machine pairs the fastest gaming CPU we've ever tested with 32 GB of DDR5 and an RTX 4070 Ti Super to make a potent combination of gaming muscle. Those are some high-end components mixed together to make quite the machine, although for this money we'd like to see a bigger SSD. Still, it'll be as fast as you like, and good SSD deals are still available.

2. MSI Bravo| RTX 4060 | Ryzen 7 7735HS | 15.6-inch | 1080p | 144 Hz | 16 GB DDR5 | 512 GB SSD | £999.99 £749.97 at Laptops Direct (save £250)

2. MSI Bravo| RTX 4060 | Ryzen 7 7735HS | 15.6-inch | 1080p | 144 Hz | 16 GB DDR5 | 512 GB SSD | £999.99 £749.97 at Laptops Direct (save £250)
With a 105 W TGP on its RTX 4060 GPU, this surprisingly affordable MSI machine puts it at the top of our list of gaming laptop deals. That's way beyond the awful 45 W Cyborg (which you should absolutely avoid) and speedier than the Gigabyte we love so well. The SSD is a bit sad, and the AMD chip isn't the full Zen 4 deal, so you don't get the battery-sipping 780M integrated graphics (just the Zen 3+ 680M), but it's still a lot of laptop for £750.

3. MSI RTX 4070 Ti Super | 16 GB GDDR6X | 8,448 shaders | 2,640 MHz boost | £799.98 £759.93 at Ebuyer (save £45.05)

3. MSI RTX 4070 Ti Super | 16 GB GDDR6X | 8,448 shaders | 2,640 MHz boost | £799.98 £759.93 at Ebuyer (save £45.05)
The RTX 4070 Ti Super might not have been out for all that long, but we're finally seeing significant discounts. It's a bit of a beast of a GPU, although it's worth keeping an eye on RTX 4080 Super discounts if you can stretch that far. Still, none are going to get as low as the price here I reckon, and the RTX 4070 Ti Super is a worthy addition to anyone's rig.

4. Lexar NM790 | 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,500 MB/s write | £69.95 at Overclockers
You'll only find a few 1TB SSDs going cheaper than this Lexar drive, and none as good value. We really liked what this drive had to offer in our review, delivering performance right at the top end of what PCIe 4.0 is capable of, all for a low price.

5. ADMI Gaming PC| Core i5 12400F | RTX 4060 | 16 GB DDR4-3200 | 1 TB SSD | £729.95 at Amazon

5. ADMI Gaming PC| Core i5 12400F | RTX 4060 | 16 GB DDR4-3200 | 1 TB SSD | £729.95 at Amazon
Yes, this six-core, 12-thread CPU is now two generations old but for the money, you really can't complain. Well, a bit more RAM would have been nice, but you're not going to get many gaming PCs with an RTX 4060 graphics card for just £730. The PSU is only rated to 500W so if you're planning on using this as a base to upgrade in the future, you might need a better supply unit for a top-end GPU.

6. MSI Ventus 2X RTX 4060 | 8 GB GDDR6 | 3,072 shaders | 2,505 MHz boost | £289 £269 at Amazon (save £20)
£250 is about as much as anyone should pay for an entry-level GPU but Nvidia's lowliest Ada Lovelace chip only seems to reach this price on rare occasions. While we still don't adore the plain vanilla 4060, the feature set that includes DLSS 3.5 upscaling and Frame Gen does look pretty appealing.

Besides this monitor's significant bezels, there's a lot to like here. It's a bit old-fashioned looking, but all the important specs are here: 1440p, 165 Hz, FreeSync compatible. It's in a sweet spot for gaming and it's made by a manufacturer we trust with budget screens.

We're big fans of this little budget gaming laptop, and our Jacob loved its great gaming performance (check out our review). With over £250 off the original price and some genuine 1080p gaming chops on offer, we reckon this makes quite a tidy deal. It's a bit more expensive than the above Medion P25 but the RTX 4060 is much better for gaming.

Asus TUF | RTX 4060 | Ryzen 5 7735HS | 15.6-inch | 1080p | 144 Hz | 16 GB DDR5 | 512 GB SSD | £894.97 £849.60 at Cyberpower (save £45.07)

This isn't the cheapest RTX 4060-powered laptop around, but it's the one that will likely give you the most performance thanks to its 140 W TGP. The Gigabyte above makes do with 75 W, so this is pushing the silicon a whole lot further and that will show in the gaming benchmarks. The TUF laptops are quality budget machines, too. Not as sleek as the Asus ROG notebooks, but they've got it where it counts. Well, except for that miserly 512 GB SSD, that is.

MSI Katana 15 | RTX 4070 | Core i9 13900H | 15.6-inch | 1080p | 144 Hz | 16GB DDR5 | 1TB SSD | £1,399£999 at Currys (save £400)

Phew, those are some pretty impressive specs at a similarly impressive discount, from a trusted brand no less. Yes, it's only got a 1080p screen, and yes, 32GB of RAM instead of the included 16GB would be nice, but for just £1,149 you get a super-fast Core i9, an RTX 4070 and a 1TB SSD. That's a bit of a magic combo if you ask me, and at a bit of a magic price too. That GPU isn't running at peak performance, however, with just a 105 W TGP, but that still gives it enough juice to cope with that 1080p screen even if it's not the full 140 W deal.

Price check: Amazon £999

MSI Vector 17  | RTX 4080 | Core i9-13980HX | 17-inch | 1200p | 165 Hz | 16GB DDR5 | 1TB SSD | £2,097.90 £1,899 at Ebuyer (save £198.90)

When it comes to the hardware running under the bonnet, this 16-inch MSI Vector certainly has the goods, what with that Intel Core i9 processor and an RTX 4080 making a very tempting package indeed. Bit of a shame about the 1200p display and 16GB of RAM, but at least the screen's a good 'un with a 144Hz refresh rate and nice and bright panel. There's a huge amount of performance here in quite a slim and svelte package, making this machine a lot of power for under the magic £2,000 marker.

Scan Gamer RTX Gaming PC| Ryzen 5 5500 | RTX 4070 | 16 GB DDR4-3600 | 1 TB SSD | £1,079.99 at Scan
The six-core, 12-thread CPU may be last-gen, and not the fastest one that AMD ever made, but this is still a very good deal for a powerful RTX 4070 machine. It sports dual channel DDR4-3600, which is rare to see in a simple pre-built, and you get a 1 TB SSD to load up with games.

Scan Performance| Ryzen 7 7700X | RTX 4070 Super | 16 GB DDR5-5200 | 1 TB SSD | £1,449.98 at Scan

Scan Performance| Ryzen 7 7700X | RTX 4070 Super | 16 GB DDR5-5200 | 1 TB SSD | £1,449.98 at Scan
The 7700X is a very speedy, if slightly hot running CPU, and here it gets a decent dose of DDR5 and an RTX 4070 Super to make friends with. That makes it an excellent upper mid-range machine at a good price with plenty of upgradeability, although I'd start off with sticking an extra 16 GB of RAM in when you get the chance.

You're probably thinking that this isn't much of a good deal but when RTX 4090 cards cost £2,000 on average, it looks a whole lot better. You're getting a very solid gaming CPU, the best gaming GPU, lots of speedy dual-channel RAM, and plenty of NVMe storage. This is about as fast a gaming machine as you can get your hands on, and even at £3,100, this is still a monster of a PC at a good price.

PowerColor RX 6600 | 8 GB GDDR6 | 1,792 shaders | 2,491 MHz boost | £209.99 £184.99 at Overclockers (save £25)
The RX 6600 is a quality 1080p GPU and great value for money if you can score it cheap enough. You're getting a budget graphics card that delivers high frame rates in the latest games at top 1080p graphics presets. At least AMD and Intel are bringing GPU pricing down.

As the budget baby of the RDNA 3 family, the RX 7600 faces a lot of competition. Not just from Intel and Nvidia, but from AMD's previous generation of cards too. At this price, though, it's a lot cheaper than the RX 6700 XT and in some games, it performs nearly as well. Dare I say that it's a little bit dull?

AMD rules the graphics card market's mainstream and budget ends, and the RX 6750 XT is the best GPU at this price point. The RTX 3060 Ti is more expensive and slightly slower in many games. Its popularity means supply is somewhat limited so you might need to wait until it's back in stock.

Plummeting in price since release, the RX 7700 XT has become more and more one of our favourites with every price drop. Right now it's a superb mid-range GPU with lots of horsepower and plenty of memory to last you a good many years.

RTX 4070 prices in the UK are highly variable at the moment so it's worth holding off buying one until it's around the £400 mark. But even at this price, it's a pretty fair deal for what is effectively an RTX 3080 with benefits. It's mostly quicker than the previous-gen card and comes with the excellent DLSS 3 Frame Generation tech, too. The only problem is the RTX 4070 Super can be found close in price and it's a faster card.

Asus RX 7900 XTX | 24 GB GDDR6 | 6,144 shaders | 2,615MHz boost | £798.64 at Amazon
AMD's mighty RX 7900 XTX is now easy to find well under its original MSRP and it's a seriously powerful graphics card. While it's not as potent in ray tracing and AI/machine learning as Nvidia's equivalent cards, it handles standard rendering extremely well and you're getting more VRAM than you could ever want.

With an MSRP of £999, the new RTX 4080 Super is clearly a better choice than the original 4080, as it's cheaper and a little bit faster. However, finding one below MSRP can be a real struggle. However, this Zotac model is comfortably below that and is a very powerful GPU with a decent amount knocked off.

RTX 4090 pricing is still silly money, but at least with this card, you're getting it fairly close to MSRP. What with all the export ban nonsense, the RTX 4090 was way up over £2,000 for a time. Now it's back down to something vaguely sane, though massively expensive of course. But it's still by far the fastest graphics card on the planet. Or off it, for that matter.

It's not big, and it certainly isn't from a name we normally associate with gaming monitors, but if space is at a premium and you just want a good, little 1080p display for your desk, this 24-incher has a lot going for it. Not the fastest, nor the fanciest 27-inch 1080p you can get, but you're still getting plenty of monitor for the money. That IPS 165Hz panel offers Freesync Premium variable refresh rate and it's G-Sync Compatible, too. Perfect for PC or console gaming on a budget.

AOC Q27G2S/EU | 27-inch | 1440p | IPS | 165 Hz | £224.97 at Amazon

AOC Q27G2S/EU | 27-inch | 1440p | IPS | 165 Hz | £224.97 at Amazon
Besides this monitor's significant bezels, there's a lot to like here. It's a bit old fashioned looking, but all the important specs are here: 1440p, 165Hz, FreeSync compatible. It's in a sweet spot for gaming and it's made by a manufacturer we trust with budget screens.

Samsung Odyssey G5 Ls32cg552euxxu | 32-inch | 2560 x 1440 | 165 Hz | VA | 1ms MPRT response | £274.98£226.49 at Ebuyer (save £48.49)

Samsung Odyssey G5 Ls32cg552euxxu | 32-inch | 2560 x 1440 | 165 Hz | VA | 1ms MPRT response | £274.98 £226.49 at Ebuyer (save £48.49)

We love Samsung monitors, in part because they manage to offer stellar response times on VA panels. VA panels offer great contrast with some lovely, deep blacks, but they aren't known for being the quickest. This Odyssey G5 nails the response time, though, and for this price is a great deal.

MSI PRO MP341CQ | 3440 x 1440 | VA | 100Hz | FreeSync | £329.99 £218.99 at Overclockers (save £111)

MSI PRO MP341CQ | 3440 x 1440 | VA | 100Hz | FreeSync | £329.99 £218.99 at Overclockers (save £111)
Treat yourself to an ultrawide image with this MSI monitor for a surprisingly low sum. It's not necessarily the quickest screen around, but 100Hz is a big step up over 60Hz that you will actually notice. Also it's a frame rate within reach for more mainstream graphics cards—the bump to ultrawide increases pixel counts and thus GPU demand shoots up too.

ASRock Phantom PG34WQ15R2B | 34-inch | 165 Hz | 3440 x 1440 | VA | £418.99 £328.99 at Scan (save £90)

ASRock Phantom PG34WQ15R2B | 34-inch | 165 Hz | 3440 x 1440 | VA | £418.99 £328.99 at Scan (save £90)
You can't beat a high-refresh 34-inch ultrawide gaming panel in terms of bang for buck and ASRock gives you that particular bang for less buck than ever. As we found in our review, this 1ms 165Hz VA panel has no major weaknesses and makes for a really nice overall package for the money.

Alienware 34 AW3423DWF | 34-inch | 165 Hz | QD-OLED | £929.99 £649.33 at Amazon (save£280.66)

Alienware 34 AW3423DWF | 34-inch | 165 Hz | QD-OLED | £929.99 £649.33 at Amazon (save£280.66)
Alienware's fancy QD-OLED panel is one of our all time favourite displays, and while this is still a lot of money for any monitor, even with a discount, you won't do much better than this for the cash. It's simply stunning. You can read our Alienware QD-OLED review for more.

Samsung Odyssey G9 G93SC OLED | 49-inch | 240Hz | 5120 x 1440 | OLED | £1,399.99 £1,175 at Amazon (Prime Exclusive, save £224.99)

Samsung Odyssey G9 G93SC OLED | 49-inch | 240Hz | 5120 x 1440 | OLED | £1,399.99 £1,175 at Amazon (Prime Exclusive, save £224.99)
Samsung's silly-wide OLED monitor has only been around for a year, but you can now get it for quite a bit off. At 49 inches and sporting Samsung's QD-OLED tech this is a monitor straight out of a science fiction film, but it could well be gracing your desk at some point very soon. And our Jeremy loved it in his review. Cool hey?

Amazon Prime Day SSD & storage deals

Lexar NM790 | 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,500 MB/s write | £69.95 at Overclockers

Lexar NM790 | 1 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,500 MB/s write | £69.95 at Overclockers
You'll only find a few 1 TB SSDs going cheaper than this Lexar drive, and none as good value. We really liked what this drive had to offer in our review, delivering performance right at the top end of what PCIe 4.0 is capable of, all for a low price.

Price check: Amazon £71.99

Crucial MX500 | 1 TB | 2.5" | SATA 6 Gb/s | 560 MB/s read | 510 MB/s write | £76.99 at Scan

Crucial MX500 | 1 TB | 2.5" | SATA 6 Gb/s | 560 MB/s read | 510 MB/s write | £76.99 at Scan
If you don't have enough M.2 NVMe slots on your motherboard for more storage, then don't worry as you can still install an SSD via a SATA port. The Crucial MX500 is pretty much the best one out there, as nothing else offers the same blend of performance and value for money as the MX500. It's also available in 2 TB and 4 TB sizes, with the prices scaling on par with the storage capacity, though it is much slower than an NVMe drive.

Price check: Amazon £82.99

Lexar NM790 | 2 TB | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,500 MB/s write |£129.99 £119.99 at Amazon (save £10)

Lexar NM790 | 2 TB | PCIe 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,500 MB/s write | £129.99 £119.99 at Amazon (save £10)
Lexar has put together a superb SSD in the NM790, and the best bit is it's surprisingly cheap. Thanks to high-layer NAND and a low-power controller, you can get tons of storage here on an energy-efficient and great-performing drive for not much cash. Often much less cash than the competition, even. Read our Lexar NM790 (4 TB) review for more.

Price check: Overclockers £139.99

WD Black SN850X | 2 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,300 MB/s read | 6,300 MB/s write | £159.95 £124.99 at Overclockers (save £34.96)

WD Black SN850X | 2 TB | NVMe | PCIe 4.0 | 7,300 MB/s read | 6,300 MB/s write | £159.95 £124.99 at Overclockers (save £34.96)
This is our favourite SSD for gaming right now. Unlike the cheaper SN770, the SN850X encapsulates the best PCIe 4.0 offers in terms of performance (check out our review). That makes it a great fit for a boot drive with space to spare for your game library, and at this price, we're happy to pay the premium for its higher speed.

Price check: Amazon £139.98 | Scan £129.98

Lexar NM790 | 4 TB | NVMe | PCIE 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,500 MB/s write | £233.99 at Scan

Lexar NM790 | 4 TB | NVMe | PCIE 4.0 | 7,400 MB/s read | 6,500 MB/s write | £233.99 at Scan
It's a lot of money to spend on a storage drive but it's actually great value for money. Trying to find a high-quality 4TB SSD anywhere near £200 in the UK is pretty impossible right now but this Lexar is well worth the extra money. There are cheaper SSDs with the same capacity but they won't have anywhere near the same performance or longevity.

External drives

Adata SE880 | 1 TB | USB 3.2 Gen2x2 | 2,000 MB/s read | 2,000 MB/s write | £81.38 at Amazon

Adata SE880 | 1 TB | USB 3.2 Gen2x2 | 2,000 MB/s read | 2,000 MB/s write | £81.38 at Amazon
If you want one of the smallest and lightest external SSDs around, then you can't go wrong with this Adata model. At 2.5 inches in length, it'll fit in any pocket, though that does make it a bit easy to lose. Don't forget that your PC will need to have a 20 Gbps USB 3.2 port to reach maximum performance.

Intel Core i5 13600F | 10 cores | 16 threads | 4.6 GHz boost | 20 MB L3 cache | LGA1700 socket | £150 at Amazon
If you're looking to build a cheap latest Intel platform gaming PC, then this little Core i5 processor is the perfect match—it's the best budget gaming CPU you can buy right now.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X | 8 cores | 16 threads | 4.7 GHz boost | 32 MB L3 cache |AM4 socket | £419.99 £159.99 at Amazon (save £260)
Okay, so nobody will be paying the full price for this excellent gaming CPU, but if you're still using an older 2nd or 3rd Gen Ryzen, then this is a fantastic upgrade for very little money.

AMD Ryzen 5 7600 | 6 cores | 12 threads | 5.1 GHz boost | 32 MB L3 cache |AM5 socket | £249.99 £184 at Amazon (save £65.99)

AMD Ryzen 5 7600 | 6 cores | 12 threads | 5.1 GHz boost | 32 MB L3 cache |AM5 socket | £249.99 £184 at Amazon (save £65.99)
This is the slightly slower and much cooler running version of the Ryzen 5 7600X, but don't let that put you off. It's still a great gaming CPU and it comes with a Wraith Stealth cooler, to help you save even more pennies.

Intel Core i5 13600K | 14 cores, 20 threads | 5.1 GHz max boost | 24 MB L3 cache | 125 W TDP | £279.99 £249.99 at Amazon (save £30)

If you read our full review of the Core i5 13600K, you'll see why we rate it as the best all-around CPU you can buy now. It's almost as fast as Core i9 12900K in gaming and multi-threaded applications but doesn't use anywhere near the same amount of power to do so. Still, it gets a bit toasty, so make sure you use a good CPU cooler.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D | 8 cores | 16 threads | 4.5 GHz boost | 96 MB L3 cache | AM4 socket | £529.66 £272.99 at Amazon (save £257.67)

There's only one chip better for gaming, as an upgrade in an AM4 socket PC, and that's the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. With its enormous 96MB of L3 cache, it'll power through any game you care to throw at it. Tends to get a tad hot, though, so make sure you use a good cooler with it.

AMD Ryzen 9 7900 | 12 cores | 24 threads | 5.4 GHz boost | 32 MB L3 cache |AM5 socket | £519.99 £339 at Amazon (save £180.99)

AMD Ryzen 9 7900 | 12 cores | 24 threads | 5.4 GHz boost | 32 MB L3 cache |AM5 socket | £519.99 £339 at Amazon (save £180.99)
The underrated star of AMD's Zen 4 lineup, the Ryzen 9 7900 is a fantastic all-round gaming and productivity processor. With a TDP of just 65 W, it's incredibly easy to keep cool.

Corsair TC100 Relaxed | Fabric | £199.99 £182.33 at Amazon (save £17.66)
The TC100 Relaxed is our favourite affordable gaming chair right now, following up on the popular T3 Rush with a great look and genuine comfort. And on a personal note, the fact it allows you to sit cross-legged is a big plus for the TC100 and a big cross against most bucket seat style chairs.

Secretlab Titan Evo | Leatherette | Magnetic cushions | £419 at Secretlab

It's the benchmark by which we judge all other gaming chair—it's comfortable, supportive, and easy to assemble. The holy trinity. Secretlab is the only place to pick one up, and at the moment is offering £30 off your first purchase. The cheapest models are some League of Legends special editions, so check those out if you wanna save some cash.

Logitech G203 LIGHTSYNC | Wired | 8,000 DPI | 6 buttons | Right-handed | £39.99 £16.23 at Amazon (save £23.76, exclusive to Prime members)
Basic doesn't have to mean bad, boring, or bland. Logitech's G203 Lightsync is very much a basic wired gaming mouse but it's pretty darn good and you even get a bit of nifty RGB lighting. Great at its normal price but a veritable bargain at under £20.

Razer Basilisk V3 | Wired | 26,000 DPI | 11 buttons | Right-handed | £69.99 £35.99 at Amazon (save £34, exclusive to Prime members)
This is Razer's 'basic' version of its Basilisk V3 gaming mouse but you're still getting all the in-your-face RGB lighting, sensor performance, and button customisation you could possibly want. The four-way scroll wheel is no mere gimmick, either.

Amazon Prime Day gaming keyboard deals

Logitech G G213 Prodigy | Wired | 102 keys | Semi-mechanical | 5 backlit zones | £64.99 £34.19 at Amazon (save £30.80, exclusive to Prime members)

Logitech G G213 Prodigy | Wired | 102 keys | Semi-mechanical | 5 backlit zones | £64.99 £34.19 at Amazon (save £30.80, exclusive to Prime members)
It's been around for years and it's a nice but basic gaming keyboard. Logitech claims its keys feel like mechanical switches but they're more like fast, clicky membrane ones. Either way, you can't go wrong for the money.

Razer Huntsman V2 | Wired | 104 keys | Optical switches | Multi backlit zones | £189.99 £94.89 at Amazon (save £95.10, exclusive to Prime members)

Razer Huntsman V2 | Wired | 104 keys | Optical switches | Multi backlit zones | £189.99 £94.89 at Amazon (save £95.10, exclusive to Prime members)
It's another long-running keyboard but it's still just as good as it was when we reviewed it. The stars of the show are the fast, clicky optical switches and the 8,000 Hz polling rate. You won't be complaining about slow hardware if you miss your shot.

Amazon Prime Day gaming headset deals

Razer BlackShark V2 Pro | 50 mm drivers | 12-28,000 Hz | Closed-back | Wireless | 24-hour battery | £179.99 £129 at Amazon (save £50.99)

Razer BlackShark V2 Pro | 50 mm drivers | 12-28,000 Hz | Closed-back | Wireless | 24-hour battery | £179.99 £129 at Amazon (save £50.99)
According to our Dave, the BlackShark is comfortable, light, and has a great audio feel. And he loves that physical volume knob on the left-hand ear cup. The mic and 24-hour battery life aren't great, but that's about par for this price. Amazon has sold them cheaper than this, so keep a look out for a price drop in the sales.

When will Amazon's Prime Day 2024 event start?

Amazon's 2024 Prime Day event will technically begin on Tuesday July 16 and carry on through Wednesday July 17 this year, but good deals are here already. Retailers like Scan, Currys, Overclockers, and Newegg will also be kicking their deals off early, and aiming to beat Amazon's pricing throughout the event and beyond. That means significant discounts on gaming PCs and laptops, components and peripherals before, during, and even a little while after Prime Day.

Nick, gaming, and computers all first met in 1981, with the love affair starting on a Sinclair ZX81 in kit form and a book on ZX Basic. He ended up becoming a physics and IT teacher, but by the late 1990s decided it was time to cut his teeth writing for a long defunct UK tech site. He went on to do the same at Madonion, helping to write the help files for 3DMark and PCMark. After a short stint working at Beyond3D.com, Nick joined Futuremark (MadOnion rebranded) full-time, as editor-in-chief for its gaming and hardware section, YouGamers. After the site shutdown, he became an engineering and computing lecturer for many years, but missed the writing bug. Cue four years at TechSpot.com and over 100 long articles on anything and everything. He freely admits to being far too obsessed with GPUs and open world grindy RPGs, but who isn't these days?
