Black Friday is falling into a distant memory already, and that means Cyber Monday gaming chair deals (opens in new tab) have taken their seat at the head of the table. Secretlab, our favorite chair maker, is offering up to $140 off (opens in new tab) its best chairs still, but there's a lot more out there to pick from. From entry-level butt-parking to literal laps of luxury that'll set you back four figures, and even a desk-chair combo set.
Not all of these are mainstream bargains, but doesn't your bottom deserve some love? The Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody, for instance, costs roughly three times as much as I paid for my first car. Believe it or not, it actually justifies its price (opens in new tab)—but if you're not inclined to fork over quite that much cash, there are plenty of others to choose from. Just know that whatever you go with, you're going to be spending a lot of time with (and in) it.
Gaming chairs may not be quite as hard to get right now as, say, an RTX 3080, but international shipping in general is in pretty rough shape right now. Given that, you may need to leave yourself a little wiggle room for shipping—some of these units may take longer than expected to arrive.

Also, consider opting for an office chair instead. They tend to cost more, but offer the best ergonomics for long hours at a desk.
Whatever sort of chair you choose, a good one will be worth spending a chunk of change on, especially if you're currently in an ancient, non-adjustable hunk of plastic or a stylish-but-uncomfortable accent chair. A great chair will go along way toward building an ergonomic gaming setup (opens in new tab).

What should I look for in a Black Friday gaming chair deal?
Durability has to be one of the key tenets of any Black Friday gaming chair purchase, as does support. If your bargain purchase starts to expose its metal frame six weeks into life as your gaming throne, and the padding sags depressingly, then you might as well be perched on top of a beer keg for all the support you're getting.
At the very least, you need to make sure that the gaming chair you have your eye on can offer some lumbar support, as well as adjustable arm rests. When you're typing or WASDing at a desk, those elbows need to be raised just so (opens in new tab). Neck pillows, or adjustable head rest, are also worthy of your time and money, but you also want to make sure you actually fit too.
It's not always easy to get a bead on a chair's size from an online search, so always check the measurements before dropping a dollar on a new seat. There will be maximum height and weight recommendations for most chairs, and that's absolutely worth paying attention to.
