Star Wars Zero Company surprised us. When EA invited PC Gamer to be one of the first outlets in the world to play their new game, Ted Litchfield went in with high expectations - a Clone Wars tactics game made by former XCOM and Jedi Survivor devs is a slam drunk - but even these were surpassed. It blends the familiar combat of XCOM with sumptuous third-person action-adventure storytelling, and a healthy dose of Mass Effect style RPG management, and could be a game of the year contender.

ARC Raiders famously switched focus from a fast, free-to-play PvE game to the tighter, more tactical PvPvE extraction shooter we know today; a move known as "the reset". At GDC, Production Director Caio Braga gave a talk entitled "When your AAA game isn't fun: The ARC Raiders story of starting over with intent". We interviewed him afterwards to delve more deeply into how this pivot happened, what player feedback is teaching Embark about their game, and what plans they have for the future.

Morgan is here to talk about what Bungie is doing right with Marathon. How does it hold up against other extraction shooters?

The Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike comes with a few features we've not seen before in a gaming mouse. To get all the details, our resident mouse nerd, Jacob Fox, has spoken with two people that worked closely on it: Logitech's senior mechatronics engineer Frédéric de Goumoëns and chief engineer Regis Croisonnier.

Valve has said that it's unable to announce pricing and release dates for the upcoming Steam Machine, Steam Frame and Steam Controller. In a post on Steam, the company said it had planned to do so by now, but that memory and storage shortages are to blame for the delay. In this video, Dave and Jacob discuss the statement, the wider memory shortage, and what it might mean for Valve's bid for Linux in your living room. Is it all doom and gloom or is there still hope for an affordable Machine yet?
