Black Friday—the so-called shopping event of the year that follows Thanksgiving (which the UK seemingly permanently borrowed from across the pond a few years back)—is next Friday. As such, online retailers are now steadily ramping up sales—not least Amazon, who is selling the Corsair K70 LUX keyboard for a fraction of its full price.
With a 35 percent discount, the red backlit mechanical gaming keyboard is now going for £80.99, against its £124.99 recommended retail price. Here's what tech expert Paul Lilly said of Corsair's LUX range when it launched earlier this year:
"In form, these are essentially the same as the non-LUX variants, each retaining its original aircraft-grade anodized brushed aluminum construction and Cherry MX key switches. The primary thing that's different about the LUX models is an enhanced internal lighting controller that allows for finer color adjustments, more vibrant patterns, and additional effects when paired with Corsair's CUE software.
"To help showcase the ultra-bright LED backlighting, Corsair equipped the key caps with a new and larger modern key cap font. According to Corsair, the laser-etched key caps will last through years of key clicks before wearing down."
And here's the highlights as per the Amazon description:
- Aircraft-grade anodized brushed aluminium frame for superior durability
- Advanced lighting control and large font keycaps deliver dynamic, vibrant backlighting
- CUE support enables advanced macro and lighting programming for virtually unlimited game customization
- 100% Cherry MX Blue key switches with tactile feedback and an audible click
- 100% anti-ghosting with full key rollover on USB
