Man moved to tears by RTX 5090 on his wedding day - $9000+ price tag brings a tear to my eye too

Lying in bed with my morning coffee, doomscrolling through TikTok, I came across this video. A man seemingly bursting into tears after revealing a wedding gift of an RTX 5090.

The best bit is when, after pulling the graphics card out of a gift box, he holds it aloft like a proud parent and parades it in front of the entire venue.

That's an ROG Astral RTX 5090, which is a high-end version of a high-end graphics card. One in short supply today, too.

It's tough to get an idea of what's a reasonable price for such a card today, as there are no reasonable retailers left that sell it. But they are upwards of $9,000 over on Newegg's marketplace. I'm certainly not recommending you go out and buy one at that price.

This isn't the first time someone's gifted their partner an RTX 5090 on their wedding day. In fact, someone gift that same model of graphics card to their partner just last year, when prices were a little more reasonable.

This video seems to be circulating all over the web right now, with news.com.au citing simply that 'Baidu' is the source. That's pretty vague, and my digging hasn't turned up much else. We'll just have to hope that this one is real; that somewhere out there is a box with an RTX 5090 inside it and my name on it, too.
