My Discord pals have begun to affectionately refer to my life-update-meets-industry-whining as 'a podcast episode'. As such, you bet your bottom dollar I need a decent webcam—the facial expressions and hand gestures are all part of the experience.
For the last year or so, I've been using the Obsbot Meet 2, a teeny tiny webcam that can record at 4K and 60 FPS. Its autofocus even manages to keep up with all of my hand flailing. I'm already a big fan of the whole 'cute but powerful' vibe, but this webcam just got even better; it's now at its best ever price at Walmart, setting you back just $99.
That's only a cent less than what it's going for on Amazon, but every saving counts. In either case, the 23% discount is very enticing, and I especially enjoy the fact you're not having to fork out for 4K features. It even comes in an array of appealing colourways (all of which are generously discounted), and packs-in straightforward but powerful software too. What's not to love?

Well, let me be upfront: the magnetic stand really lets down this otherwise solid package. The thinking is a magnetic stand offers greater flexibility, ie, if you're a creator, you can easily switch between horizontal and vertical video. In practice, the magnetic hold is far from secure.
As someone working with limited desk space, I was drawn to the Obsbot Meet 2 for its diminutive size. Unfortunately, the lacking magnetic stand made it almost impossible to place this webcam where it would best suit my set up. Thankfully, you can fasten the Obsbot Meet 2 much more securely to any stand with a tripod-style head mount—I did just this, swapping the included flimsy magnetic stand for the one that comes with the Emeet Pixy.
I know that sounds like an odd choice—why faff about with the Obsbot Meet 2 when the best webcam overall is right there? Well, as snazzy as that gimbal-mounted webcam is, it's much too bulky to perch between my monitor and the shelf on my hutch-style desk.
Furthermore, as I tend to ramble at full speed into a separate microphone anyway, I'm not all that fussed about the Emeet Pixy's much better onboard microphone either. Plus, the Pixy is much more expensive.
If you're looking for an adorable bit of tech that slots into even the most cramped of gaming set ups, the Obsbot Meet 2 is already tough to beat. The even smaller price tag makes it all the sweeter as a 4K webcam option.
