An RTS is only as good as its campaign. Sure, it's the competitive multiplayer side of things that gives a quality RTS a long tail but the bulk of initial players will first be seduced by the promise of a killer singleplayer romp. So does Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 have the juice? Let's find out...

Our Dave is just back from San Francisco with flowers in his hair and a laptop under his arm. Jacob discusses the new Nvidia RTX Spark laptop release with his very ill, very jet-lagged co-host to try and get to the bottom of what the new Arm-based SoC offers and whether PC gamers should sit up and take notice.

During Gamescom we sat down with the voices behind CD Projekt's upcoming expansion, The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past. We trapped a bunch of gamers in VR to see how they reacted to Valve's new Steam Frame headset. With only a little knowledge of what they were in for, we threw headcrabs, zombies, ping-pong playing kitties, and off-brand lightsabers at them to see how they would react. And, interestingly, the experience of coming face-to-face with Half-Life: Alyx's zombies was almost universally preferable to being confronted with the actual price of the Steam Frame. Yikes.
