Asus ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE: was $219.99 now $151.99 at Amazon

At its normal price, the Asus ROG Falchion Ace 75 is an excellent but overly expensive gaming keyboard. Slice 31% off the price tag, though, and you've now got something well worth considering. This deal is for Prime members only.

Key specs: ROG HFX V2 switches | PBT double-shot caps | RGB lighting | Media wheel | Wired USB Type-C

When it comes to gaming keyboards, Asus generally gets a lot of things right. The latest models are packed with every gaming feature around, such as rapid trigger or 8,000 Hz polling, but these are often countered by the hefty fee you incur for choosing the ROG brand.

A great example of that is the Asus ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE, which normally costs $220. It's an excellent keyboard, but that's way too much money in comparison to the competition. Well, not any more, because you can bag one for $152 at Amazon right now, and it's the cheapest it's been at that store.

When Reese checked out the Falchion Ace 75 HE, he came away very impressed by its super-fast switches, additional controls, and overall build quality. However, he wasn't quite so happy with the price tag, and that's understandable because the $150+ keyboard market is extremely competitive, with lots of brilliant options to choose from.

But with a 31% discount, the Falchion Ace 75 HE is far more appealing, and if you don't mind the fact that it's wired-only, you're getting a superb button-basher for the money. Asus' latest Hall effect ROG HFX V2 switches are ridiculously quick, thanks to their short travel, low actuation force, and highly adjustable actuation point.

Along with an 8 kHz polling rate (somewhat pointless, but still kinda neat to have) and rapid trigger functionality, this keyboard is ideal for twitchy, competitive shooters and esports in general.

That said, it's great for any kind of gaming, as well as general use, thanks to the handy media wheel/roller and touch bar on the back, which you can configure for all kinds of roles. This is all done via Gear Link, a web-based app that's light-years ahead of Armoury Crate.

Yes, 150-odd bucks is a lot of money to throw down for a keyboard, but at least you're not paying over the odds with this deal.
