A tiny desktop gaming soundbar for AU$63 is a yes from me
It's better than your monitor's speakers, but it ain't hi-fi.
A gaming soundbar, you say? Well, it does have RGB. Aside from that, the form factor is purpose-built for a desktop arrangement (if you're a console or TV-centric gamer, you might as well go and look at a normal soundbar). This model fared decently in Ian Eveden's 76 / 100 review.
It is possible to buy so many amazing, superfluous things in 2026. If you've got a lot of money, don't worry: there are a lot of things to buy. For example, there's such thing as a gamer soundbar and here's one for only AU$63.
What makes the Creative Sound Blaster GS3 a "gamer" soundbar? It's only 41cm long, for one, which means it'll fit neatly beneath most gaming monitors. It has an RGB strip at the bottom, which means it'll announce to anyone who sees it that someone means business (you).
Connectivity is via USB-C or Bluetooth. Tthere's also a 3.5mm aux socket, but I feel like the powers that be have trained most of us away from using that perfectly-adequate tech.
How does it sound? It's not for the uber-fussy, I guess it goes without saying. Ian Evenden put it succinctly in his 2025 review. " The important thing about a soundbar isn't the way it looks but the way it sounds, and for a speaker that costs so little the GS3 is surprisingly good," he wrote. And that's assuming your purchasing at the RRP.
If you want to go slightly fancier and don't really like the soundbar form factor, our favourite set of budget PC speakers, the Creative Pebble Pro, is currently only AU$72.95, down from AU$99.95. Though do be aware: according to our experts they're not particularly adept at pumping out bass.
