200 Hz for $200, OLED for $330—monitors are still the best deal in PC gaming

Two gaming monitors float in the funky PCG deal void.

If you're looking for SSDs, RAM, or even a swish new GPU, this has arguably not been your year. The memory supply crisis is still driving up component prices, but there is a silver lining to this dark cloud—gaming monitor deals have never looked so good in comparison.

I was initially intrigued by the 27-inch OLED Samsung Odyssey G5 G50SF. I thought $330 was a great price for a gaming OLED with a 180Hz Refresh Rate and 0.03ms response time—but I did some digging, and it turns out it has been going for slightly less than this in the past. Boo. So, it might be best to wait for Amazon's Prime Day event on October 7.

Then I found the Samsung Odyssey G55C, a curved 32-inch 1440p screen—I was even more intrigued when I saw it was more affordable at Walmart than on Amazon. Amazon may have its Prime Big Deal Days next week, but Walmart has multiple offers that feel like a steal right before the big sales event.

However, my colleague James tells me you can get the LG 32GS60QC-B, another curved monitor but with a higher 180 Hz refresh rate, for a very reasonable $230. He went on: If you're not fussed about a screen with a curve, then the KTC H27D9 is $50 less than the cheapest Samsung. If you're after a bump in refresh rate, this 27-inch Acer Nitro offers a 200 Hz refresh rate and is also just under 200 bucks. Make no mistake, our James knows his monitors.

Long story short, I was spoilt for choice when it came to shining our deals spotlight on a single gaming monitor. So, I've collected them all together instead. Feast your eyes below.
