Gaming monitors are the best deal in gaming right now, and you can pick up this OLED one for just $269
That's an astoundingly low price of an OLED monitor.
Behold, the OLED gaming monitor price champion. We give you the Acer Nitro VG277U Xbiip. Not a great name, but this panel even offers a 240 Hz refresh rate, while the next cheapest OLED is only good for 144 Hz. Just note that this monitor uses Samsung's budget QD-OLED panel, and it's not the brightest.
Key specs: 27-inch | 1440p | 240 Hz | 0.03 ms | QD-OLED
I've watched in horror over the last year as the memory crisis has continued to ravage the industry and take the prices of memory, storage, and even graphics cards with it. Yet monitors offer a light in the darkness by not only getting more impressive but cheaper too.
If you have been holding out on upgrading to an OLED gaming monitor but are still on a budget, the Acer Nitro VG277U Xbiip is a banger for $269 over at Walmart. That makes it not only the best-priced OLED at Walmart, but I reckon it's the best-priced OLED gaming monitor on the market.

Being an OLED gaming monitor, this Acer panel has some pretty impressive stats. A 240 Hz refresh rate is higher than most will ever need, and the 0.03 ms response time is super solid too.
Being Samsung's budget QD-OLED panel, you are getting some compromises for such a reasonably priced monitor, and perhaps the biggest compromise is in its brightness. The peak HDR brightness of 400 nits is pretty low, which means it will struggle in very well-lit rooms. That also means its HDR performance won't blow you away either.
As well as this, this generation of OLED and previous ones are vulnerable to font fringing. This is where the edges of text on the screen can appear blurry or come with colored fringes to them, especially on a 2560 x 1440 display at 27-inches; the pixel pitch is not as tight as with 4K panels, which can mitigate the issue. The good news for gamers is that it is not so noticeable in games, but for day-to-day productivity work, you will likely become aware of it.
However, despite these downsides, you are getting an OLED panel, which means you get true deep black and super vibrant colors. I've long argued that the best upgrade I've made in the last half a decade has been swapping to OLED, because it makes everything just look so good. And 1440p is a bit of a resolution sweet spot for price and performance right now.
The $269 cost is the same price we saw this monitor selling for over Prime Day. So, in my books, you are getting a phenomenal deal here on an excellent bit of panel technology.
