Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE: was $139.99 now $69.99 at Amazon

An MMO mouse with many, many buttons, this rodent is a bit heavy—but truly great for those with macros to dance between. In our review, Hope found the Scimitar Elite Wireless SE to be extremely comfortable, and all the buttons very useful for everything from gaming to streaming. That'll be why it's our best MMO gaming mouse, then.

Key specs: 16 buttons | 33K DPI | 1,000 Hz | 114 g

I'm not much of an MMO-er, but I certainly feel the pull at times. The closest I got was losing a few summers to Eve Online back in the day, but most of my friends were lost in the depths of World of Warcraft. Which, as I understand it, is getting a big ol' official update very soon.

And if you're interested, you'll be wanting a mouse. A mouse with many buttons. Luckily for you, the Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE has dropped to $70 at Amazon (half its MSRP) as part of the Prime Day sales, and it's our best MMO gaming mouse pick.

Need I say more? Ah, go on then. The Scimitar Elite SE has a total of 16 programmable buttons, with an adjustable plate of 12 on the side, so your thumb can dance around many different functions at once. With a bit of practice, naturally. Our Hope had a very good time with this particular rodent, giving it a score of 89% in her review.

"The Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE is a gaming mouse that does things none of the others I own can. Better yet it does it comfortably, while still maintaining its position as a high level gaming mouse with great polling and responsiveness," says she. Speaking of responsiveness, this mouse doesn't mess with things like 8K polling—but its 1,000 Hz rate should be just fine for MMO purposes.

It's got a 2.4 GHz wireless connection, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C for your connectivity options, plus a 33K optical sensor which should track very well indeed. There's a touch of subtle RGB, and it's also got a stated battery life figure of 150 hours. Or the best part of a week of non-stop gaming, which for you MMO enthusiasts still strikes me as rookie numbers.

Anyway, the downside here is the weight, which is a bit porky at 114 grams (although I've used far heavier) and the fact that multi-side-button mice won't be for everyone—especially not left-handers. But if you reckon your thumb is up for doing the fandango with the side of your squeaker, I reckon this is a deal well worth jumping on. Go forth and game, my friends. Remember to blink at some point, yes?
