LIVE: Best Amazon AU October Prime sale discounts — top PC gaming deals on peripherals, components & more
Expect headsets, keyboards and gaming mice galore.

Nowadays Australia gets two Amazon Prime Days a year, and not only that, ours tend to be longer than elsewhere in the world. The Prime Day that takes place in October—ie, now—is called Amazon Big Deal Days, and it runs until October 13. I've been covering big Aussie sales events for nearly a decade now, taking in Prime Day, Black Friday, EOFY sales and Boxing Day, so I know when a deal's a deal.
This live deals page will be updated regularly over the course of the week, and there's even a rolling feed at the bottom of the page. Based on previous experience I know that prices will fluctuate throughout the week, so expect updates on those movements (where they're significant enough) as well as any new top deals the Aussie team discovers. Heck, we'll even include non-Amazon deals if any decent ones pop up.
You'll need to be an Amazon Prime member for some (but not all) of these deals. Don't fret, though: you can sign up for a free trial and cancel before your first billing.

Gaming laptop deals
A nice early discount on this 2025 ROG Zephyrus model, which we reviewed a higher-spec version of back in April. This model still has very robust specs indeed, with an i9 processor, RTX 5070 GPU, 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD drive. The display is a 16:10 2560x1600 affair. This is a great laptop, though there were some aspects we didn't like, especially the whiney fans and the lacking CPU performance.
Gaming monitor deals
This 32-inch affair is one of our fave gaming monitors, and if you don't trust me check out this 92 / 100 review. Samsung's QD-OLED tech pumps out a sharp 4K resolution with an uber-smooth 240Hz refresh rate, with AMD FreeSync and G-Sync support into the fact.
An absolutely crazy discount on this big 34 inch widescreen gaming monitor with a 3440x1440p resolution. It boasts a 180Hz refresh rate for silky smooth frames, AMD FreeSync Premium, and both VESA AdaptiveSync and DisplayHDR 400.
Just a tad more pricey (by about three dollars) compared to the previous all-time low on this extremely lush 34 inch OLED gaming monitor. It has great HDR, a brilliant widescreen QL-OLED display, and a frankly absurd 240Hz refresh rate. Not convinced? Our review goes over the pros and cons, the latter including its "relatively low pixel density".
PC component deals
This is still one of the best Gen 4.0 SSDs you can buy, coming close to maxing out top theoretical performance of Gen 4.0 as we discovered in our review. The 2TB capacity will be a generous addition to your new or upgraded PC, and you'll appreciate the speedy loading times. This is the lowest price we've seen for this drive, so get on it.
Chuck another 1TB of storage into your rig, from the top brand at a decent discount. The Evo Plus series is a decent performer for a Gen 4.0 drive, and our review has all the facts about that. It's ideal as a secondary games drive, with impressive sequential speeds.
AMD's most beastly desktop processor has just hit its lowest price ever! The 9950X is a 16 core/32 thread monster that eats productivity and creative tasks for breakfast, and is a demon for gaming, too. Our review says it all—so slap one of these in your AM5 build and feel the mighty power.
You'll be hard pressed to find a better value general-purpose CPU than this – especially at this all-time-low price. This 6 core/12 thread chip would be perfect for slapping in an AM4 build for all your basic tasks, and can handle gaming if paired with a reasonably decent GPU.
Eyeing a powerful—and power-hungry—new graphics card and/or CPU? Then crank up your rig with this 1000w top-brand PSU. It has modular cables to keep your insides tidy and is compliant with the latest ATX 3.1 standard.
Gaming mice deals
This is one of Logitech's most reliable wireless gaming mice, and while this isn't an all-time low (it's dropped as far as AU$46.55 in the past) it's still a great price for a dependable wire-free rodent. It has a 12,000 DPI 'Hero' sensor, six programmable buttons, a 250-hour battery and onboard memory for your settings.
This is a dependable budget mouse at a price you can barely argue with, even if you're just after a backup rodent. It has an advertised 10 million click lifespan, and a 6,400 DPI, which isn't the highest but at this price point you can hardly argue it's not enough.
Not an all-time low, but still a decent price for a niche piece of kit. It's aimed squarely at MMO players, but it'll come in handy to anyone who likes more complex games with lotsa commands. It has 16 programmable buttons and an impressive 150 hour battery life, with both wireless and Bluetooth connectivity (it comes packaged with a wireless dongle). You can even slide the 12 side bottoms along the right hand side of the mouse for perfect comfort.
Gaming keyboard deals
A decent discount on this well-regarded 75% size mechanical gaming keyboard. It has an elegant and reserved aesthetic, but it's a true powerhouse when it comes to gaming performance, with hot-swappable pre-lubed caps and dual-layer sound dampening.
A welcome discount on this premium slab, which I use every day, all day and can highly recommend. The RGB is typically stunning, and the build is very robust: you could use it to knock out an intruder. It features 8,000Hz hyper-polling, 4,000Hz key scanning, PBT Double-shot Pro keycaps and yeah: it looks great.
This is the best price on this gorgeous 75% keyboard we've seen since Black Friday last year. It has both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, amazing gasket mount keys, and an OLED display at the top right corner so that you don't always have to use Asus's (often annoying) desktop software. If you prefer the white model, that's going for AU$304.
Not an all-time low (it was down to AU$179 during Boxing Day) but if you want your keyboard to take up as little space as possible, this is a wireless 65 percenter with low profile optical switches. Small doesn't mean discreet though, so rest assured there's plenty of RGB on this thing. The ROG Falchion RX is the favourite low profile keyboard in our best gaming keyboard list, ticking just about every must-have box including great switches, a sturdy build, and plenty of connectivity options. This is the lowest price yet for this highly regarded model.
Here's a remarkably thin mechanical keyboard with sub-1ms latency and 8,000Hz hyper-polling. It's definitely an expensive piece of kit, but according to our 76 / 100 review it's super durable, gorgeous to look at, portable, and bedecked in the usual RGB.
Gaming headset deals
The RRP on this set of wireless gaming cans is absolutely bonkers, but this discount brings it down to something way more affordable (though do be aware that this thing goes on sale a lot). Our review was very enthusiastic, noting its "impressive connectivity, fast charging, hot-swappable batteries and great adjustability". Needless to say its sound quality is bleeding edge premium as well. Not many people need a headset this expensive (even with the discount) but if you're in the market, now's the time.
The Corsair HS80 Max Wireless Gaming Headset offers low-latency 2.4Ghz wireless audio and Bluetooth connectivity, along with high-fidelity 24bit/96kHz sound and support for Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio.
These cans boast a frankly-unbelievable (but true) 300 hours of battery life, DTS Headphone:X Spatial Audio, and the Cloud series' now iconic tough-as-guts aluminum frame. Make note this is a deskbound headset: it uses 2.4Ghz wireless connectivity, but has no Bluetooth for on-the-go listening.
A decent 44% discount on this budget wireless headset; it may not be fancy, but it boasts a reliable 2.4Ghz wireless connection, an advertised 17-hour battery life, and 40mm drivers inside its closed cup design. If you're after something cheap and cheerful from a reputable brand, these are worth investigation. Was down to AU$78.46 during last Prime Day, so it may go down further in the coming weeks or months.
Gamepad deals
At RRP this gamepad is very expensive, but the cost is justified. In addition to drift-free, hall effect analog sticks and tactile microswitches, the Stealth Ultra also has four rear paddle buttons and, most conspicuously, a big 'ol LCD screen on the front. The latter can be used for software-free customisation, and to receive notifications. I scored it a 90 / 100 in my review.
A great budget controller gets even cheaper with this 20% Prime Day deal. This wireless affair supports both 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth, has a 1000Hz polling rate, and drift-free Hall Effect analog sticks. It has also back buttons and trigger stops.
If you're after a simple but durable gamepad to use at your desk, this 8Bitdo is definitely worth a look. Not only does it have drift-free hall effect analog sticks, but base of the sticks also have RGB. It's a wired only affair, so unless you've got a big cord, it's probably not designed for couch play. This isn't the best price we've seen, because it was down to AU$47.96 during the last Prime Day.
This isn't the lowest price we've seen on this SCUF pad (that'd be AU$279.20) but it's still a decent chunk off a rather exorbitant RRP. It's all about customisation thanks to its remappable back paddles, instant triggers, and solid build. We reviewed this model well back in 2021, but it no longer ranks among the best PC gaming controllers.
PC handhelds and accessory deals
With Steam Deck now available in Australia, it's the time to start hunting for deals on all-important Steam Deck accessories. Among the most attractive peripherals is a dock, all the better to plug the handheld into a monitor or TV, and this one is a more entry level version of our favourite Steam Deck dock. Ports include HDMI 2.0, which supports 4K at 60Hz, a 100Mbps ethernet port, two USB-A 2.0 ports and a USB-C with charging passthrough. Probably all you'll need to start with.
This 65W power bank is perfect for getting your Steam Deck back to life when you're on the go. The 20,000 mAh capacity also makes it a good option for phones and laptops, so it's a versatile affair that you likely won't regret having around. It's light, efficient, and well worth a purchase with this AU$24 discount, though it was slightly cheaper earlier this year (AU$55.99)
Also consider the 100W, 25,000mAh Iniu B63 for AU$76.49.
Router deals
Still using Wi-Fi 6? Forget that. Prices are finally coming down for decent Wi-Fi 7 routers and the Asus RT-BE86U is cheaper than its ever been right now. Get onboard with faster downloads and snappier surfing, and be ready to roll as you add new Wi-Fi 7 devices to your network.
Asus' RT-AX59U at 59% off is a tempting way to extend your network, or replace an older router. It can work as a mesh node too, pairing with other compatible Asus routers using AiMesh tech. This router has a great reputation for reliable hassle-free performance. It's Wi-Fi 6, but that's still plenty quick for most things.
Steaming gear deals
A substantial discount on this top notch gaming microphone, which we rate as the best option overall, whether you're in it for streaming or just co-op play sans headset. We love its small form factor, excellent software and brilliant auto levelling, though the cable is a tad short, and the noise reduction can be a bit overzealous.
This is our favourite microphone for podcasting. It's a USB Type-C affair with auto levelling, noise reduction and plosive reduction, and it sounds brilliant. The software is powerful and easy-to-learn, and the form factor is extremely robust. The only downside is that there's no stand included, though with this discount, the prospect of buying one separately isn't as annoying.
Nearly a full 50 percent off this popular streaming interface, which we rated highly in our 82 / 100 review, praising its sleek build, seamless software and abundance of plug-ins. I mean, even for pro streamers a piece of kit like this is just a nice-to-have rather than essential, but if you've had your eyes on one, this is a good price.

Big space
Who wants to keep removing games you love, and want to keep installed just-in-case, just to fit the new blockbuster on your punished SSD? Not me. Most new off-the-shelf gaming PCs come as standard with a paltry 1TB or 2TB SSD, so we all know we'll need to upgrade one day.
Today is as good a day as any, especially with the Xmas AAAs landing soon. Even more so because I've just found the Samsung 990 Pro 2TB SSD marked down to AU$205 on Amazon. That's close to budget SSD pricing, but the 990 Pro definitely isn't a corner-cutter – this is premium all the way. It's what I use in my own gaming rig as a secondary drive and it's a speedy little thing. It'd be sweet as an OS-plus-games drive too.
In our review we found it to be as close as you need to be to the maximum possible performance a Gen 4.0 SSD is capable of. Its rated performance is 7450MB/s read, 6900MB/s write, and it comes with a reassuring 5-year warranty. We don't think that'll be a worry though, the Samsung 990 Pro has a write endurance rating of 1,200 TBW, which, as we said in our review "has got to be enough for virtually any imaginable usage model."
Screen dreams
The market for gamepads is amazing right now, and extremely geared in favour of the consumer. A couple of years ago I considered this Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra controller my personal favourite. It's a premium "pro" controller with pretty much everything you'd expect from one of those—back buttons, trigger stops, Hall Effect sticks and tactile microswitches—and more.
That "more" is its screen. If you're averse to ever using software it's a big boon for switching between on-board profiles, and you can even get Discord notifs on it if you want (I prefer to be left alone, but that's just me). But my favourite thing about it—and this is admittedly small—is how easy it makes switching between wireless and Bluetooth functionality. I use both a desktop PC and Steam Deck, so that matters. What can sometimes be fiddly on other controllers just works here, thanks to the screen.
The Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra isn't on our list of the best gaming controllers anymore, and it's not my personal fave anymore: that goes to the Gamesir G7 Pro Tri-Mode. But if you want one —and my review may prove convincing—they're currently going for AU$269.95 during Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, down from AU$329.95.
It's probably not worth paying full RRP on this Turtle Beach gem, especially with some pro controller features going mainstream and being available in much cheaper gamepads. But, it is an undeniably robust piece of kit, and that screen has some great QOL features that I actually miss whenever I'm not using it. I scored it a 90 / 100 in my review.
Good afternoon. The Australian team—specifically, Shaun and Ben—will be posting the most notable Amazon Prime Big Deal Days bargains in this live blog. If something good happens, such as an especially noteworthy deal, it'll be reported here. If something bad happens—such as a deal-o-pocalypse—we'll report that here too.
