I don't know what Rick and Morty's about but I have turned GTA 5 into its perfect replica
You need to have a very high IQ to understand Grand Theft Auto.
I'm modding GTA 5 every day in a quest to either transform it into a PC version of GTA 6 or break it entirely. Come back tomorrow to find out what new horrible thing I've done to Rockstar's baby, or check out what I got up to earlier.
I have never seen an episode of Rick and Morty in my life. Here is what I know about it: there is a man who is a scientist, a boy, they sometimes play that one Blonde Redhead song, and the whole thing evinces very strong reactions in people—Sichuan sauce and whatnot.
Obviously, my understanding leaves something to be desired. I set out to educate myself. I installed Rick, Two Crows, and Morty for Grand Theft Auto 5. At the tap of a button, all the bounty of the TV show becomes available to you: a boy of adjustable size, guns that are lasers and light rings, a car that is a flying saucer, and poké balls that generate black holes (distinct from the poké balls that are poké balls, which are also installed in here somewhere).
It's all quite fun. Smack F7 and Trevor becomes Rick (or perhaps Morty), bedecked in a labcoat and a filthy t-shirt. The ambient chaos of Los Santos proceeds around him: natural disasters, vanished exterior cells, flying cars.
The world has found a rhythm now, I think; it proceeds without me. As I toss black hole poké balls at people and shoot them with lasers, a notification pops up from some other mod and tells me "The American People have been wiped out." I see.
I cannot for the life of me work out how to actually pilot Morty's (or perhaps Rick's) flying saucer, though. I can just make it rise and fall. Occasionally it rotates in the air. No matter, as I am quickly teleported to a drinking hole in northern, rural San Andreas. I throw a poké ball behind the bar and walk out.
Outside, a tornado is consuming an entire battalion of furries. My bodyguard, irresistibly attracted to the black hole making a mess inside the bar, is stuck to an external wall like iron filings to a hidden magnet. He screams. I know how he feels.

One of Josh's first memories is of playing Quake 2 on the family computer when he was much too young to be doing that, and he's been irreparably game-brained ever since. His writing has been featured in Vice, Fanbyte, and the Financial Times. He'll play pretty much anything, and has written far too much on everything from visual novels to Assassin's Creed. His most profound loves are for CRPGs, immersive sims, and any game whose ambition outstrips its budget. He thinks you're all far too mean about Deus Ex: Invisible War.
