Rebel Wolves has legendary RPGs in its veins, and the studio’s debut game, The Blood of Dawnwalker, looks set to take the genre to new heights. PCPP visited the developer in Poland, and what we discovered at Rebel Wolves was one the most exciting new virtual worlds in gaming.

Cosy gaming
The phenomenon of cosy gaming really took off during 2020-22, but the idea of following daily routines, making connections with nature and in-game characters, or games that offer their players lower amounts of stress than Elden Ring, has been around a lot longer. There is a lot more to cosy gaming than farming sims that allow you to date NPC villagers!

Tech: game controllers
The humble controller is easily overlooked by a PC gamer. We’re too distracted by our light-up keyboards and ultralight mice. But it’s a good time to start paying attention to. There are a range of new technologies vying to change controllers forever, and the expectation of what’s good is changing constantly.

Ben thinks he’s probably the most experienced PC gaming editor and writer in Australia. After working on the legendary Hyper magazine in the early 1990s, he founded the even-more-legendary PC PowerPlay mag in 1995, and remained as editor for the first five years during that period of explosive PC gaming evolution. After that he founded Atomic magazine in 2000, shifting his focus a bit more towards PC gaming hardware. After a few years as Atomic editor, Ben took over PC Authority magazine, and is now the editor of APC. He likes 48-hour Sins of a Solar Empire binges when he’s not sitting in his sim racing rig manhandling his precious German equipment.
