Last week, I asked PC Gamer readers to nominate the scariest PC games they could think of. I collected the top 16 submissions from that comment section (with some editorial discretion) and randomly seeded the bracket below.

After two rounds of voting, the field has been narrowed to just four games. This vote will determine which two games face off in the final battle on Friday, which will leave us with just one scariest game on PC, to be announced on Halloween.

Scroll on to see where the bracket stands and cast your votes in the semifinal round. Voting for this round will close on Friday at 9 am PT, and the final round will start shortly after.

Both Amnesias made it far enough to wind up fighting each other. The deciding factor may end up being which of them has been played the most. (If you want to do some research about the newer of the two games, Amnesia: The Bunker is just $5 on Steam and GOG right now.)

Meanwhile, Silent Hill 2 just barely beat out Dead Space for the privilege of battling tournament heavyweight Alien: Isolation. When I say 'barely,' I mean it: I had to check the vote count in the backend of our polling software to learn that Dead Space received 602 votes, and Silent Hill 2 received 614 votes.

Disclaimer

Silent Hill 2 can refer to the PC version of the original, Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams (2002), or the recent remake, Silent Hill 2 (2022). We'll say that Silent Hill 2 is a vote for either or both versions; you can specify in the comments if you like.
