What's the scariest PC horror game of all time? Nominate your favs and we'll pit them against each other
Bracket coming the week of Halloween. For now, tell us which games should face off for the honor of scariest horror game ever.
We've been having fun pitting FPS modes and RTS units against each other with brackets and reader polls, and now I want to determine the scariest game of all time.
Rather than seeding the bracket with classic horror games solely of my choosing, I'm opening up nominations to everyone. Here's how to get a game into the fight.
How to nominate a scary game for the scariest game bracket
- Leave a comment on this article that begins with the title of the game you want to nominate
- Before commenting, check that your submission hasn't already been nominated
- To support an existing nomination, give the comment a thumbs up
- You can nominate multiple games, but please only nominate one game per comment
- Nominated games should be playable on PC
- Games that don't quite fit into the horror genre are fine, if they're scary
Next week, I'll randomly seed a bracket with the top 16 submissions (with some editorial discretion) and we'll begin the multi-day vote off, with the final 1v1 showdown on Friday, October 30 and the winner revealed on Halloween.
Joke submissions will be excluded, unless I think it'd be really funny to include them.
