I found 200 Crude Gold Bars in a single spot in Crimson Desert, which amounts to 1,500 silver for only ten minutes of trouble

Adding Crude Gold Bars to Crimson Desert is one way that Pearl Abyss is trying to make the game's treasure a bit more exciting. Before, you'd often find a hoard of glittering gold bars, coins, and trinkets, but none of it was actually treasure, just part of the set dressing.

Sure, you could find proper Gold Bars, but these are pretty rare unless you know where to look, and even crafting them is costly in the extreme. Crude Gold Bars are basically just a stackable form of treasure that you can sell to traders, and it makes exploring and looting enemies more lucrative.

One spot in particular is a veritable hoard of Crude Gold Bars, and that's the Harpy Nest in the northern region of Pailune, a fair way southeast of Pailune City at the top of a tall mountain, just west of the "I" in Pailune on the map.

This location has boxes filled with Crude Gold Bars, piles of them, and the odd bar dotted about in the snow—it takes a little while to gather these, but by my count, there are around 200 Crude Gold Bars in the nest, depending on how thorough you are.

Considering each Crude Gold Bar is worth five silver, this amounts to 1,000 monies, but there's a special merchant who'll buy the bars for even more. The Fishing Shop merchant in Vellua, the fishing village in the far south of the Hernand region, will buy each Crude Gold Bar for 7.9 silver. Why does this random fisherman pay so much more for gold? I couldn't tell you, but if you sell these 200 bars to him, you'll make around 1,500 silver instead.

Since they're items, I also imagine that the Crude Gold Bars at the Harpy Nest will respawn, though I haven't been able to confirm the exact timings—it's definitely worth checking back to see.

If you're looking for another loot spot, the Vault of Vengeance puzzle in the Abyss has quite a few, too, accessible via the Spire of the Stars, though you will need to complete the Sanctorum of Insight and Secret Garden puzzles first.

Just remember, if you do get some Crude Gold Bars, sell them to that Vellua fisherman to make even more silver.
