This is the first 32 GB RTX 5070 Ti gaming laptop I've seen for under $1,500 in months
A blast from the past.
I haven't seen an RTX 5070 Ti lappy drop this low in months, never mind a 32 GB one. The GPU has been reigned in slightly with a 115 W power limit, and the CPU is a six Performance core, four efficient Intel model. But both should still perform well for gaming, and the chassis design is rather svelte, too. Plus, you can't argue with the DDR5 loadout for the cash.
Key specs: RTX 5070 Ti (115 W) | Core 7 240H | 16-inch | 1600p | 165 Hz | 32 GB DDR5 | 1 TB SSD
What is this, 2025? It appears so, as I've just stumbled across an honest-to-goodness 32 GB gaming laptop with an RTX 5070 Ti for $1,450 at Walmart. Hells, I wasn't finding them this cheap over the October Prime Day sales.
What's wrong with it, then? Well, not a whole lot. The RTX 5070 Ti has been limited to 115 W, which isn't the full-fat spec but should still be reasonably powerful. Gaming at the full 1600p resolution of its 165 Hz screen will require a bit of DLSS assistance in very demanding games, but that's pretty much the case with all high resolution laptops these days.

And the CPU isn't exactly a powerhouse, being the six Performance core, four Efficient Intel Core 7 240H. It should still do just fine for gaming, though. Raw productivity performance won't be this lappy's strong suit—but it's far from a snail in that regard, either.
I keep double-checking that RAM spec. 32 GB gaming laptop deals have died a death recently, as the memory crisis continues to wreak havoc upon the market. I find the odd RTX 5060 machine with God's own RAM loadout for reasonable money, but RTX 5070 Ti models? They've gone the way of the dodo, for the most part.
Plus, you get a proper-sized 1 TB SSD. You'd be surprised how many otherwise-great lappys I find with 512 GB drives these days, which is seriously tight for a modern gaming machine. This one's got plenty of room for a few big games installed at once, alongside a Windows install and your usual apps.
It's quite a handsome beast, too. We've been impressed by Gigabyte's recent chassis designs, and this one looks grown-up enough to be pulled out in an airport lounge without attracting too much attention.
Okay, so this lappy isn't a complete fire-breather when it comes to the specs sheet. But while most 16 GB RTX 5070 machines are soaring off into the $1,600+ range, I reckon it's a very smart buy indeed.
