Razer's BlackShark V3 is the best gaming headset right now and with almost $50 off, it's the only one I'd recommend
It's our pick as the best gaming headset for a reason.
We crowned the BlackShark V3 as our best gaming headset overall last year, and it's yet to be beaten. Thanks to some very impressive upgraded 50 mm drivers, the Razer unit sounds clear as a bell for gaming, with excellent mids and an overall response that makes it great for your music, too. Razer's BlackShark V3 Wireless is, in our opinion, the best gaming headset currently on the market, when accounting for feel, price, and sound.

From the top, this 50 mm driver-equipped set of cans sounds absolutely lush to our ears, with audio being punchy and distinct. It's also lightweight, which makes all-day use a breeze.
We found ourselves to be fans of its ultra-low latency (though 10 ms latency can kill battery life), and it's super affordable considering the specs, even at full price. It's so affordable, in fact, that it blows the much more impressive BlackShark V3 Pro out of the water when considering what the average gamer needs.
A great thing about the BlackShark V3 is that, when you take the microphone off, it more or less looks like any other headset, so it's even a decent choice for use on the bus or while out and about. It might not outpace the audio quality of the more expensive Audeze Maxwell, but in terms of the price/quality ratio, nothing has topped the BlackShark V3 since we reviewed it.

It also has a decent microphone for the price, which isn't always a given with wireless headsets. It uses the same 9.9 mm microphone we heard in the 2023 Blackshark V2 Pro, and that's not an awful thing. You can hear it for yourself below.
If you aren't a major fan of the black model, the white one is the exact same price right now and also has the $15 off Amazon coupon, so you have a choice to make.
Still, what a choice it is. The BlackShark V3 is an audio powerhouse, and more than enough for either a casual Discord call or a competitive Counter-Strike 2 lobby.

It was not until 2019, after just finishing a degree in law and media, that they decided to throw out the last few years of education, build their PC, and start writing about gaming instead. In that time, he has covered the latest doodads, contraptions, and gismos, and loved every second of it. Hey, it’s better than writing case briefs.
