Hi, folks, Chris Livingston here, reporting on some important neck-related news coming out of Europe today. The default characters in game creation platform s&box now have necks.

I repeat: they now have necks.

They used to not have necks, but now they do. They have necks now. Here's a quick rundown of the facts as I understand them:

s&box is the spiritual sequel to Garry's Mod from creator Garry Newman and Facepunch Studios
Characters in s&box didn't have necks
Now they have necks
If you liked that they didn't have necks, you can adjust their necks so they don't have necks again
If you didn't like that they didn't have necks, maybe now you'll like them?

Garry Newman (pictured above, with a neck) is the creator of Garry's mod and founder of s&box developer Facepunch Studios.

"I've updated the citizen. They now have a default non frowny face and they can have a neck."

"We have sliders to alter other aspects of the body like their chest, waist, neck, and nose size. You can choose their eye colour too. So if you liked having no neck, you can bring that back with a slider."

"Let me be honest here. I love the citizen, I love how he looks, I love that he has no neck."

"But the feedback we've consistently got is that people hate them. They hate everything about them."

"So we're going to fidget around and change things to see if we can change that."
