Build of the week: Arcade Dragon
All the volcanic lairs were taken.
James is stuck in an endless loop, playing the Dark Souls games on repeat until Elden Ring and Silksong set him free. He's a truffle pig for indie horror and weird FPS games too, seeking out games that actively hurt to play. Otherwise he's wandering Austin, identifying mushrooms and doodling grackles.

One question: how the hell did that dragon get in there? Someone lay an egg in that arcade cabinet or was this one of those digital horror cross-dimension situations? Either way, that dragon looks pissed, and when a dragon looks pissed, it also looks very rad.
Arcade Dragon, the aptly named case mod from Random Design, is a build that carries impressive specs, fiery character, and handy built-in functionality—the monitor is right there and that arcade control pad actually works. Eagle-eyed case mod fans may remember this build from our Computex 2016 gallery. The angry dragon was already pretty rad. Pile on some more rad. This pile of rad, it’s too high.
But really, Arcade Dragon is massive. Check some of the photos for reference where Stefan Ulrich, the man behind the man-eater, is standing next to it. The thing is big enough to actually function as an arcade cabinet. Get some custom post-processing effects for those legal ROMs to put that 980 Ti to use and gather the family and friends around for some Street Fighter. Let them win or they’ll leave.
For more information and pictures of the build process, check out the official build log, the video below, or head over to Random Design’s website.
