AC Valhalla Randvi: Should you romance Randvi

Should you romance AC Valhalla Randvi when the choice first presents itself? There are a number of AC Valhalla romance options sprinkled throughout 9th century England. One potential encounter that pops up later in the game is the option to hook up with Sigurd's wife Randvi.

Recent updates

Romancing Randvi and its outcomes remain the same since the launch of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, though there have been a couple title updates addressing bugs that might have affected you. Here's what's changed:
Title Update 1.2.2: Addressed an issue with Taken for Granted that caused Randvi to be missing.
Title Update 1.2.1: Addressed an issue after completing the East Anglia Arc, preventing players from progressing and unable to speak with Randvi.

During the Taken for Granted quest, you'll be given the choice of taking your friendship with Randvi further or keeping it platonic. There are consequences for this choice and the decision you make here will have an impact on which ending you get in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

We're about to step into some serious spoiler territory below, so if you'd rather not know the consequences of your actions here, click away now.

The Taken for Granted quest will see you getting closer to Randvi who steps away from the alliance table and leaves with Eivor to see the sights beyond the confines of Ravensthorpe. Eventually, they'll start chatting and you'll get some insight into how Randvi feels about her life in general.

Should you romance Randvi?

If you want the best ending to Velhalla, you shouldn't sleep with Randvi. As you may have guessed, there are consequences to sleeping with the wife of your brother and Jarl. You'll be presented with three choices when Randvi admits her feelings to you:

I feel the same way: In this option Eivor and Randvi hook up but Sigurd will find out about it later and—as you can imagine—isn't overjoyed at the news. This is one of the choices in AC Valhalla that will negatively affect the ending.
Now is not the right time: Eivor admits her feelings but says they shouldn't rush into anything. Be careful here as you'll still have the option to hook up which you absolutely shouldn't do if you don't want it to count towards the 'bad' ending.
I care for you as a friend: This option does pretty much what it says on the tin. Eivor says she cares for Randvi but won't take things further and they remain friends.

The safest choice here is to pick I care for you as a friend. But if you have your heart set on romancing AC Valhalla Randvi, all is not lost. You will be able to hook up with her later on safely, after Sigurd and Randvi break up. This way, you won't upset Sigurd and risk the ending you'll get.

How to romance Randvi without a bad ending

You can romance Randvi without risking your good ending if you wait until after she and Sigurd break up. During the quest The Forge and the Flame which celebrates the wedding between Gunnar and Brigid, Eivor will have time after the ceremony to have a private word with Randvi.

Even if you originally put her off by calling her a friend, you can now confess your feelings wo Randvi by saying "I am in love with you" when given the chance. If you were patient, now's the time you can finally grab a kiss from her and begin a relationship.
