ROG at PAX East 2019: That’s a wrap!

The esports booth was the most extravagant stall. Crowds watched as gamers of all backgrounds competed together! Needless to say, all who participated earned bragging rights for playing on one of the most prestigious gaming setups at the convention.

During the intermission between heated competition at the esports gaming station featuring latest ROG Delta headset and ROG Strix Flare keyboard combination, fans were also treated to fantastic gaming rigs and got to experience the creativity of system partners.. ROG fan-favorites like the powerful ROG Strix GL12CX, compact ROG Huracan G21, and stunning ROG Zephyrus S GX701 were on full display at their respective booths. The ROG Mothership, an innovative take on the desktop-replacement laptop, was also exceptionally well received.

Hardware is only half of the gaming equation, the other half is the community. “We’re excited to introduce our brand ambassadors Jon ‘Fallout’ Kefaloukos, a former Gears of War professional player turned industry expert and shout caster and Addison ‘Sphyxii’ Queen, our 25-year-old U.S. airman of 8 years who’s an active Fortnite player to our amazing community this year at PAX EAST!!” says Yen Hoang, Community Manager at Republic of Gamers. Jon and Addison spent the entire 4 days at PAX and had the opportunity to share their stories and inspire the younger generation of fans that had the pleasure of speaking with them.

Playing on any of the gaming stations at the ROG booth earned the player a stamp on their passport and rewards points, which can be redeemed for exclusive prizes on the ROG Elite Rewards website. The brand held one of the biggest daily raffles at PAX. By completing the stamp cards, lucky fans got the opportunity to walk away with prizes ranging from apparels to ROG gaming peripherals. The brand also applied healthy savings on many of its popular products on the show floor. By the end of the event, gamers nearly emptied the merchandise stock at the ROG Gear Shop.

Following in the PAX tradition, ROG and Meta Threads also launched a secret limited edition water resistant bomber jacket called the ROGxMETA Fragment Bomber on day 2.  It’s all black stealth exterior and vibrant red thermal lining on the inside was an immediate hit during the show and completely sold out by day 4.
