How to score a goal in the hidden net in Destiny 2
Complete the Goal! Monument of Triumph challenge.
Destiny 2's Monuments of Triumph final update is here, giving you tons of challenges to complete, new catalysts to collect, and even a new Exotic mission for the Cull's Shadow. One such challenge is the very enthusiastically named GOOOAAAALLL!!!, which requires you to kick a ball into the hidden net.
You'll fall into one of two camps when you see this. You either don't know where the soccer pitch is in the Tower, or you've played ball in the hangar many times. Either way, you won't be looking in the right place to complete this challenge.
How to score a goal in the hidden net in Destiny 2
First, you need to head to the Tower Hangar (take a left from where you spawn into the Tower and follow the path). Here you'll find a soccer ball in front of Saint-14 in the centre of the room. You need to bump into this ball to 'kick' it to the hidden net, which is actually inside the old Future War Cult faction room—it's not the usual glowing green barriers at the edge of the hangar.
As I demonstrate in the video above, from where the soccer ball spawns:
- Push the ball across the hangar towards the red staircase towards the entrance.
- Go up the first, smaller set of red stairs—avoid bumping the ball all the way up, or over the railings.
- Continue up the white stairs on your right, leading into the old Future War Cult room, the big windowed space overlooking the hangar.
- Push the ball through the green light barrier at the entrance (that's the net) to score a goal.
Completing this challenge will give you ten Legendary Marks, which is a unique currency used at the Monument of Guardian Tenets in the Tower. You can spend them on various rewards, like armour sets, Sparrows, ships, Ghosts, and engrams. You'll want to complete the other Monuments of Triumph challenges in the Journey page to earn more Legendary Marks and, hopefully, unlock everything.

Rory has made the fatal error of playing way too many live service games at once, and somehow still finding time for everything in between. Sure, he’s an expert at Destiny 2, Call of Duty, and more, but at what cost? He’s even sunk 1,000 hours into The Elder Scrolls Online over the years. At least he put all those hours spent grinding challenges to good use over the years as a freelancer and guides editor. In his spare time, he’s also an avid video creator, often breaking down the environmental design of his favourite games. If you can’t track him down, he’s probably lost in a cave with a bunch of dwarves shouting “rock and stone” to no end.
