How to complete The Path of Riddles in Diablo 4
Solve each puzzle in the Labyrinthine Grove.
Completing The Path of Riddles in Diablo 4 might be a bit more puzzly than you're used to. After all, you've likely spent most of your time on Skovos blitzing through mobs and elites with your OP Warlock—ARPGs aren't always the most brain-on games, except in buildcrafting terms, I suppose.
In this quest, you'll have to solve three riddles in the Labyrinthine Grove so you can reach the hidden sanctuary at its end. I've kept narrative details to a minimum, but this guide will contain spoilers for this main campaign puzzle in particular. Here's how to complete The Path of Riddles.
First riddle answer
When exploring the grove, you'll come to a Time-Worn Statue and upon inspection, will read the following riddle:
Article continues below- "I see all, yet know nothing. All of Sanctuary is beneath me. What am I?"
To give your answer to each riddle in the grove, you have to interact with one of the nearby braziers to light it. In this case, you'll want to light the Flame of the Mother brazier by interacting with it, which will open the way into the next area with a portal.
What happens if you choose the wrong answer? You'll be funnelled into a room with an ambush encounter, so nothing too life-threatening.
Second riddle answer
After a little more exploring, you'll come to a second Time-Worm Statue, and you guessed it, a second riddle:
- "Sometimes I am the light that casts a shadow. Sometimes I am the shadow. Which one am I really?"
This time you want to light the Flame of Both brazier, before continuing into the next area.

Third riddle answer
The final statue and riddle you come across will be read out to you by Lorath, and guess what? It's the same riddle from the puzzle in A Blade's Weight that you completed earlier:
- "Power born of Hell begets Corruption"
As before, if you don't remember, you have to activate the three capitalized words above in order, though their translated versions. Namely:
- Dunaxys (Power)
- Abythos (Hell)
- Coruphar (Corruption)
An easier approach could also be to activate the left, the right, and then the bottom instead. With that, you've made it through the Labyrinthine Grove and its riddles.
