Survival & Crafting 'Rethinking the survival genre': In this post-apocalyptic adventure, 'your body tells you what's going on' instead of stamina and hunger meters
A demonic flower sprouts from a droplet of blood and screams in the trailer for Divinity, Larian's upcoming RPG.
RPG Divinity's trailer is cool, but I suspect Larian's body-horror Burning Man splatfest doesn't set an accurate tone for the full game—and if I'm right, it'll be weird that it's happened twice
Starsand Island
Sim Starsand Island is a warm, familiar farming sim hug that comes with all of the weird jank that seems to haunt 3D cosy games
Whiskerwood key art with a royally dressed cat offering a tiny slice of cheese to a sad mouse with its hand extended
City Builder Whiskerwood looks like an adorable game of cat and mouse, but in reality it's a brutal city builder where my grossly incompetent governance never goes unpunished for long

The player bludgeons a zombie's head with a wooden club in Decrepit.
RPG Decrepit is a 'dark fantasy first person soulslike' in a castle full of zombies who'll repeatedly drag your clobbered body back to the dungeons until you get good enough to escape
Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth moomintroll walking through a snowy woodlands
Adventure The demo of Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth is only a bite-size piece of what's to come, but I'm already in love with its world

Kingdom Come: Deliverance screenshots are deceivingly peaceful

These may look like travel photos from an Eastern European holiday, but they're actually new screenshots from Kingdom Come: Deliverance. When the first-person RPG launches next year it's unlikely to be this peaceful, and chances are you'll end up killing things in all of these locations.

But you won't be killing orcs, because Kingdom Come is not a fantasy RPG. Don't expect to use rings or amulets to lessen the blows from fire breathing dragons, because this game is based on real historical events, as the studio explained to us last year. Dragons don't exist, y'know.

Originally slated for a 2015 release, Kingdom Come is now expected in 'Summer 2016', or Winter in the Southern Hemisphere. If you'd prefer moving images, here's some pre-alpha footage of the game in action.
