Fortnite is nothing less than a global sensation, but the game that started it all is ready for its time in the spotlight. Fortnite Save the World, the PvE action building game, has gone free to play, and you'll get to experience Fortnite's slick movement and shooting in a whole new context.

Fortnite Save the World drops you into a vast (and destructible) world where you and up to three friends will gather resources, construct a base, and beat back hordes of monsters, from the swarming Husks to the malevolent Storm King. (You can also fight a corrupted vending machine.) If you tried Save the World when it initially came out, you now have a massive amount of new content to explore. With more than 150 new guns and heroes, along with seasonal events and quality-of-life UI upgrades, Save the World has applied the lessons of Fortnite's success to take the game to an entirely new level.
