A new game in The Division series just shadowdropped on PC, and it's free

The Division Resurgence is a free-to-play mobile take on more-ish third-person shooter The Division. Announced in 2022, it finally hit iOS and Android on March 31. Now, with very little fanfare or prior warning, The Division Resurgence has launched for PC.

The quiet release could have something to do with it being in early access: according to Ubisoft the present PC release is "for technical testing ahead of its official launch in August". That's good for people who don't want to play the game on mobile, but it's surprising that the PC release is coming out at all: there's been no hint that it would, prior to its sudden appearance today.
