Whether you're a Valheim veteran or playing for the first time, at some point you're going to stop and ask "Is there any way to increase the size of my inventory? And finally, as of Valheim 1.0, the answer is yes, you can!

Inventory size in Valheim is famously small, with just eight hotbar slots and 24 inventory slots. Especially since worn armor takes up slots, your inventory is going to be full quickly and constantly, making it tough to haul back all the loot and resources you find in the world. At long last, there's something you can do about it.

How to find Haldor

If you're new to Valheim, you may not have run into Haldor yet, and he can be hard to find. The vendor will only appear in the Black Forest biome, and there's not many ways to find him besides just going out into the world and looking.

To find Haldor in a Black Forest biome, you'll need to be at least 1,500 meters away from the center of the map. (There's a console command, "pos", that shows your coordinates and distance from the map's center—to learn how to use it, please visit our page on how to use Valheim console commands.)

You can also try putting your Valheim world seed into a third-party utility like the Valheim World Generator, though it may not show Haldor's location reliably until it's been updated to support Valheim 1.0.

When you get within a couple hundred meters of Haldor's camp, a white bag icon will appear on your minimap.

As for the coins you can spend at Haldor's camp, you can find them in chests, dungeons, and by killing monsters like trolls and fulings. You can also sell items like rubies, amber, and silver necklaces to Haldor in exchange for coins.
