More weird asymmetrical co-op moments
More weird, asymmetrical co-op moments, please. A spoiler for a mid-game event in co-op puzzler Big Walk follows, so don't "read more" if you want to go in fresh. (It's a great game.)
There's a bit part way through Big Walk where the players have to simultaneously press buttons to open a door. That's normal, but what wasn't normal was the unsettling vision it triggered: a creepy first-person dream I couldn't escape.
What really weirded me out, though, was that my two co-op partners carried on chatting like nothing weird was happening—because nothing weird was happening for them. I was the only one seeing the vision, and I was so surprised that when I tried to explain what I was seeing it came out all jumbled, simulating in some sense the experience of being a babbling prophet.
