Discord is down for many users, struggling with connectivity problems and missing channels

Having trouble connecting to Discord? It's not just you: Discord says something's gone wrong, and it's working on figuring out what.

"We're aware of users experiencing delays connecting to the platform," Discord Support wrote on X. "We are investigating and hope to have this resolved soon! We appreciate your patience."

Reports of trouble began rolling in just prior to 3 pm ET, according to DownDetector. They're easing off now, but connectivity problems persist. Discord's own status page indicates "delays connecting to the platform," as well as "issues with large guilds being unavailable."

You may notice some funkiness with Discord servers you're already connected to: The Larian Studios, Rusty Lake, and Helldivers Discords, for instance, which I was connected to prior to the trouble, are all currently showing that they have no channels available.
