October 20, 2025: There's been a gigantic overhaul of the best Fortnite landing spots for Chapter 6 Season 4. There are a ton of new additions here, so make sure to check them out below!

Your Fortnite landing spot in Chapter 6 Season 4 can make or break your round. If you drop in an isolated part of the map, your loot will lag behind—but equally, you don't want to land alongside 15 other players and instantly fight for your life. I'll highlight a variety of spots in this guide, from busy zones for squads to quiet solo locations.

Now that O.X.R. ranks have vanished along with the Queens mini-bosses, you have far more flexibility about where you can land: basically, any point of interest with a bunch of chests will do, although golden loot spots—marked with gold names—are best because drones buzz above them, ready to drop weapons and ammo.

You should prioritise capture flags, which you can claim rapidly if you emote. They'll shower you with blue loot (sometimes including Fortnite's best weapons) and ping nearby chests when you capture them, which is the perfect way to start your round.

Ultimately the best way to rank up and get better loot is to kill other players, so be aggressive as soon as you have decent gear.

I'll update this guide throughout the season as new points of interest (POIs) are added.

Fortnite best landing spots: Where to drop

Canyon Crossing O.X.R. base

The importance of the three O.X.R. bases has fluctuated during the season: they started as essential landing spots, then faded away as the bugs were destroyed, and now they're back because they all have a capture flag, O.X.R. chests, a black market shop, and launch pads for getting around.

This base is my favorite because it directly overlooks another POI, Canyon Crossing, which can net you a few extra kills. Land on the western side, either on the flag or on the two buildings flanking it. There's a launch pad on the south-west corner if you need a quick escape.

O.X.R. HQ black market

If, and only if, you have lots of gold saved up then consider dropping directly into the shop at the O.X.R. HQ. Often you'll find rare versions of some of the best weapons in the game, instantly making you the most powerful player on the server. Just keep an eye out for other parachutes, because this can be busy. Once you're done, get on the roof so you can survey the area.

Pumpin' Pipes

An ever-reliable drop spot from previous seasons is still good: there's a slurp truck, which you can break for 100 shields, right next to a capture flag. Within 30 seconds you should have full shield and blue weapons.

It's a small area, so I would only recommend it in solos or duos, but there's a jump pad on top of the hill to reach nearby POIs, and a possible car spawn on the nearby road.

Outlaw Oasis flag

A neglected POI for much of this season because it lacked bugs, but now it's relevant again. I tend to land directly on the capture flag to the southwest, but each of the buildings is packed with chests if you want to land on them: stick south so that you can nip to the flag when the coast is clear. Two O.X.R. chests can spawn at Outlaw Oasis.

Placid Paddies

Everything a solo player needs for a stress-free start to the game: a slurp truck for full shields, plenty of chests, and three possible car spawns. It's not a popular spot, so chances are anyone landing with you is a bot. When I'm done looting I like to veer southeast to the nearby O.X.R. base (which is also on this list), because other players sometimes miss its flag and O.X.R. chests.

Dreamy Domain

Do not—I repeat—do not go directly for the flag at Dreamy Domain. It's fully exposed in the middle of a clearing, and you're liable to get mowed down at this busy POI. Instead, I like to go for the building just to the west, marked on the map above. There's a chance that an O.X.R. chest will spawn there, and if not, there are other chests and slurp barrels nearby.

Watch the skies as you land, and keep your ears pricked for movement. Go for the flag when it's safe, but prioritise locating your enemies.

Pickleball courts

There's only really enough loot here for a solo player, but if you fancy a quieter drop then these courts are ideal. You'll find plenty of chests—including an O.X.R. chest—and two possible vehicle locations in the parking lot so you can rotate to the next location (I recommend the O.X.R. base to the south). Land on the O.X.R. chest, shown above, if it's spawned in.

Shogun’s Solitude

When Shogun is marked gold on the map, it might be my favorite drop in the entire game. It's away in a corner, it's never too popular, and it's overflowing with chests. Land on the flag if you have it to yourself, or if not, take the big building overlooking the flag.

You'll want to loot and leave relatively quickly: head down the slope towards the centre of the map and you'll find a launch pad—or if you find one in a chest, plonk it down and fly towards the O.X.R. base overlooking Canyon Crossing. Landing on the slope to the west of the base, and then crouch-walking up to it, can help you ambush anyone inside.

Ranger’s Rest north side

Aim for the flag at the north of Ranger's Rest, but don't be afraid to veer off to the adjacent building. This POI is packed with chests, including O.X.R. chests, and there are three possible vehicle spawns. Fully clear out the POI, grab a vehicle, and move on.

O.X.R. base near Supernova

Rather than landing on the flag I prefer the tower just next to it, in the right in the picture above, or better yet, on the O.X.R. chest at the base of the tower, which I've marked in the image. From there you'll have a perfect view of the POI, so you'll know when it's safe to capture the flag.

Crashed train

This train has travelled the map during Chapter 6, and it's currently between Foxy Floodgate and Dreamy Domain. There's not tons of loot here, but the chests, slurp barrels, and possible O.X.R. chest spawn is enough to get you started. Best of all, you have a launchpad on the train's western end. Loot quickly and fly away.

Supernova Academy flag

Supernova is always busy: if you're on the ground before anyone else you should have time to capture the flag before your enemies can gear up, but if not, then veer off to the building you can see on the right in the picture above, and then grab the flag as soon as it's safe.

Clear out the POI, rotating around the outside to the top-left corner, which is where vehicles will spawn.
