Dead as Disco is a neon-drenched Beat ‘Em Up where every punch, kick, and combo syncs to the music! Our staff writer Harvey Randall got to play through an early access build of the build ahead of its release on May 5. Here he shares his thoughts as well as exclusive footage of his boss fight with Dex, a heavy metal guitarist with tech tentacles!

Directive 8020 is an upcoming narrative survival horror from Until Dawn creators, Supermassive Games. Set aboard the interstellar spaceship Cassiopeia, 8020 pits a crew of scientists journeying a remote planet against a shapeshifting alien lifeform in a twisting 'choices matter' story. Taking influence from horror cinema like John Carpenter's The Thing (1982), and Alien (1979), we sent our bravest explorer Elie Gould for a hands-on preview of the game, which is out on May 12th.

We sat down with Mega Crit co-founder Casey Yano for the first Slay the Spire 2 post-launch interview. We dive into the magnitude of the games success, what the ending could look like, character win rates, review bombing, and how player feedback. Plus — new characters, new modes, and what’s next for Slay the Spire 2.

Star Wars Zero Company surprised us. When EA invited PC Gamer to be one of the first outlets in the world to play their new game, Ted Litchfield went in with high expectations - a Clone Wars tactics game made by former XCOM and Jedi Survivor devs is a slam drunk - but even these were surpassed. It blends the familiar combat of XCOM with sumptuous third-person action-adventure storytelling, and a healthy dose of Mass Effect style RPG management, and could be a game of the year contender.
