The Intrepid Epiccers: As above, with Belara in the first shift.
Bosses attempted: Nefarian (64% best)
A night of hardcore learning on the hardest boss of the expansion saw us nailing Phase 1 regularly, and even making phase 3 a couple of times.
I'm a fan of CCing/kiting in p1. We're yet to really see how harder this makes p3, but it's certainly easier on the healers than having Contagion tanking Onyxia for upwards of a minute. Nothing else in phase 1 is difficult, and we dealt with the Crackles without any real problems.
Phase two improved the more we attempted; the raid damge is frustratingly constant and pretty high; it really stretched the mana pools of myself and Cenaria, and even Denika looked close to running low. I think we may try for just one Crackle in phase two; it'll make for a marginally longer phase 3, but the payoff may be worth it if our add control is good.
For the next couple of weeks, we're concentrating on getting everyone geared to the level where we can take down Nefarian, and as soon as Cata is raid-ready or Chewwie comes back, we can also do Cho'Gall. This may mean some pretty boring gear farming of the 10 bosses we have on farm, but we'll try to get some achievements, and our new post-4.0.6 changes might make things a little more interesting.
I'll call the next fortnight the calm before the storm; once we're at full strength again, we'll be having concerted wipefest-heavy nights on our 2 remaining bosses until they're dead. Then we can do heroic modes LOLOLOL
