Default PCG Freedom Village Mine Maps

Are you wondering where to get the best ore? Need a specific type or ql? Is your name anything but Digiseer? Then this is the thread for you.

I've created some maps of the PCG Mines with the locations and qls of ore veins. Enjoy!

Old PCG Mine, located up the hill past Bradford Manor, near Vash Naroom:

New PCG Mine, near the tar jetty:

Update: New pcg mine has had some more mining / new tunnels opened up.. (I wouldnt know what would be a good map refresh time as the mine can/could change a lot in a short space of time).

    * What software did you use to do this?

I used Mapper to mark the layout then drew the above in Sketchup, and added the labels in GIMP.

As for map refreshing I don't think we need to update too often, unless people are willing to put in the time. Once a month should be more than sufficient, especially if we keep noting any major changes in this thread.

Thanks for the sketch-up maps, you got the files we can have and modify, or even to plan with?

I doubt the old mine will change much unless cave-ins happen.
The new one looks a bit messy, the entrance area needs widening and maybe raising the ceiling, then proper ladder plan.

For those who weren't in IRC last night I sent a copy of the sketchup file I made to Morinaka and am happy to also send it to anyone else who'd like to play around with it, now that I know about the delights of DCC (sending a file to someone in the IRC channel, for those who like me didn't know). It should also be small enough for me to email it if you're not using a compatible IRC client (e.g. the in-game one).

I've modified mthec's map for the new mine. All the sections with walls is how the mine stands now, the floor plan with no walls is how i think it should continue from there on. OK apparently, updated a bit.

Morinaka, unfortunately it does not look like the map has been uploaded, any chance you could reload it?

    Cheers,

    Lance
