Think you know your football? You'll know that Paul Merson was the only England player in the 1998 World Cup squad not to be playing for a Premier League or other top flight club, then, and well done for knowing that. How did Paul make the grade? Was it because he was good mates with Glenn Hoddle, or because he was a constant overperformer for a just-promoted Middlesbrough side of the late '90s, and that some of the later years of his playing career were his best? The answer is probably the latter. But if you know your football extremely well, come put your knowledge to the test at the official Football Manager Pub Quiz, taking place on Saturday the 5th of March after the PC Gamer Weekender. That's next weekend!

Tickets are £5 per person for the quiz, or £20 for a team of four (sold separately from the Weekender tickets), taking place at the Corbet Place Bar just off Brick Lane at 6.30 on the Saturday. This gets you food and two drinks, too, and the winner gets to appear as a new-gen in FM17, as well as winning a bottle of champagne and a FM goody bag. Check out the details of the event, and book tickets, by going here.

It's the ideal bookend to your day at the PC Gamer Weekender, our brand new PC gaming event, featuring hands-on with upcoming big PC titles, like Dark Souls III and Total War: Warhammer, as well as the chance to try the HTC Vive VR headset, while also checking out stage presentations from some of the biggest and best developers in PC gaming. You can book tickets for the Weekender now, and get 20% off by using the code PCG20 at checkout.
