Default PC Gaming Survey - Help Needed

    Hi Everyone,

I am a UCLA graduate student doing a study on PC gaming. My team and I need people with gaming knowledge to help us out. The survey is very short and should take less than 2 minutes. Here is the survey link:

Thank you so much. If you could post a reply in this thread after you take the survey it would really help us keep track of where people in the survey came from because we don't need any identifying information.

    Thank you very much.

    Scott

I did the survey but there seems to be nothing that relates to building a PC yourself, which I think the majority of people here do.

Irritatingly it was quite biased towards consumers who purchase pre-built systems rather than those who self-build.

    But yeah... I did it.

I just selected "Online Shopping Sites" on the 7th question to signify that I built.

I'd wager that the majority of PC gamers build their own rigs. Kinda what sets us apart from the console. crowd and any survey worth it's salt should address that.

Definitely poorly researched and planned to have not included self build options for researching Gaming PCs. I don't know a single PC gamer who doesn't self build. Also you missed another important area in Upgrading. Why no questions on frequency, spend, focus for upgrading?

Don't take this the wrong way, but your understanding of the subject doesn't seem to be sufficient (or you jumped to too many conclusions) to ask the right questions.

I just took it and noticed a "other" box for where you bought your system. I clicked that and entered "build and upgrade myself". Figure that's good enough.
