Default Any Bloggers here?

I thinking about starting a blog. It's just going to be about Aerospace Engineering, Cosmology/Astronomy, Space, Travel, and Photography.

My choice right now is Wordpress but I'd rather not pay for hosting. And I don't want to use Blogger, Google already has enough info on me..

    Anyone have any recommendations?

There's actually two types of Wordpress, though they link into each other more than they used to. But Wordpress.com lets you host your blog on their servers, whereas Wordpress.org is the version that you download and host on your own webspace so if you don't want to pay for hosting the former option should work.

There is a also middle kind where you have your own domain but Wordpress still host it for you. The free version can easily be upgraded to this if you decide you want your own domain name alter down the line but still don't want to worry about setting up Wordpress on your own webserver.

I used to be seriously big into blogging, but after a couple of years all the revenue dried up, the contributors got bored and it just took up too much of my free time.

I ended up selling http://space-wolves-grey.blogspot.co.uk/ to one of the fans for a pittance. Should have left AdSense on it and left the whole thing to rot in cyberspace the generate income forever more...but was glad to be rid of it tbh.

Only get into blogging if you're doing it for fun and not expecting great things to come of it - or it takes over your life!

There are way too many people who think that what they have to say is revolutionary, amazing, needs to be heard by as many people as possible.

No, I don't blog. I'd much rather argue with people on forums like this.

I do very often send abusive emails to people I absolutely cannot tolerate. Such as the royal family (they don't fool me, fucking parasites), Gary Barlow (you don't fool me, smug tax avoiding cunt), the Pope (you don't fool me you fucking child molestor in a stupid frock) and so on.
