Default Do people still play Star Wars Battlefront 2?

Its on sale on steam and i loved it on PS2 and the 64 player battles look way better than the tiny 16 player battles on PS2. So do people still play it or will i be stuck with the AI players?

I doubt many people are - that's the problem with MP games. Even if you find one you enjoy, if others don't, you're pretty screwed because, yeah, AI is not even a tenth of the fun.

To give you a clue: I did a search and barely found anything. I found a few people asking about the community still being active and they were met with silence which his a pretty bad sign.

I was considering getting it but I don't think I will now. This makes me sad.

What makes me sad, is that LucasArts think they should still sell a MP game when its community is as good as dead. That's pretty damn lame if you ask me. I have yet to see a single MP game which went from practically dead back to a decent online community with the exception of mods saving them. Always sad to buy a game less than two-three years old and find that maybe 4-5 people are online and no-one else.

I spent my time on the PS2 version playing on my own or with my brother so you could still get something out of it. Maybe this thread could be the start of a new community

The campaign is nice, but here's my MP experience.

Still, AIS the campaign is nice.
