Cool Thanks everyone!

I just wanted to take a second to thank anyone who helped me here in Tech. It wouldn't have been possible without you guys. I just purchased all of my parts this morning and they'll be coming in Tuesday.

A special thanks to MacLeod for answering a ridiculous amount of PM's and giving me a great build.

Here's my finished build for anyone interested: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/CQH

I'm still a little nervous about putting it all together, but I'm feeling confident. I have no idea what to do If I get a DOA part or my PC doesn't boot, but I'm sure you guys can help with that too :P That's probably what I'm most afraid of is a part being DOA.

Again, thanks to everyone, you've been awesome. I'll be sure to get on here and share picture to anyone interested it's going to be a lot of fun putting her together.

You didn't link your build. You need to use the permalink in top left.

You'll be fine, just watch a few videos, and use common sense. It really hard to break something.

Also I had that mobo with cpu on my last build. I'm using the mobo again for my next one, great board.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've been watching lots of videos! MacLeod had picked the MOBO for upgradability and its power. It looks pretty good to me for the price.

Oh yes Orkgutz, oh yes. I've never done it before, but with the cooler I got I figure I can push it to at least 3.8ghz

Had the same cpu in my previous build and its a cracking processor for the price. With that cooler you should see 3.8ghz easily

It's pretty great for the money, I'll probably upgrade to steamroller at some point.

3.8 should be doable. I was able to keep a X6 under 62C with a Hyper 212 at 3.9 so a 965 at 3.8 should be no problem. Best thing is that that Gigabyte is a very solid board with 8+2 power means itll be a good overclocker and handle a good amount of abuse and should last a long time so upgrading to Steamroller should be no problem.

Any problems you run into when putting the build together, just post up questions here and we can help ya get it figured out.
