Every Fortnite Icon Series skin, emote, and the best fan concept art

The Fortnite Icon Series brings a bunch of familiar faces to the ludicrously popular battle royale game; mostly streamers and famous musicians. But what makes the Icon Series so special, and what (or who) can we look forward to seeing get included?

What is the Fortnite Icon Series?

So far, the Fortnite Icon Series has basically been the natural evolution of Epic's growing list of media promo events. While Star Wars and Deadpool get their own special events or cosmetic items, smaller properties and real-world stars will typically be part of the Icon Series, which lets players purchase skins and other cosmetic items themed after these stars, and possibly participate in events.

The Icon Series kicked off with a Ninja skin, designed to look like the wildly popular streamer. It was available in mid-January, but Epic hasn't said anything about it returning just yet. Since these kinds of product collaborations aren't cheap or easy to coordinate, we're betting that Icon Series skins will rotate through the item shop every once in a while, so keep an eye out.

Anyway, Ninja's Fortnite skin came with four variant styles, plus a smattering of back bling, a pickaxe, and an emote. More recently, Fortnite hosted an in-game concert (and we use that word loosely) by rap artist Travis Scott, which saw millions of players witness a giant Scott stomping around the Fortnite map and travel through space.

Fortnite Icon Series skins

The latest Fortnite Icon series skin is the always lovely Loserfruit, or Lufu, a streamer and YouTuber known for her Fortnite and Overwatch content. Here's a look at her new skin, which entered the store on June 22.

You can get Loserfruit's skin for 1,500 V-bucks, or she has the Loserfruit bundle for 1,800 V-bucks, though it looks like that's a sale price that will eventually rise to 2,600 V-bucks. That includes the Buddy Bag back bling, a backpack with plush figures of Peely, the Tomatohead character, and a pink rabbit whose name escapes me. You'll also get the Bounce Berry emote, which makes your character water the ground before a bouncing strawberry (Loserfruit's icon) dances around you. Lastly, you'll get the quite charming Fruit Punchers harvesting tools, which are basically ice picks made out of watermelon, oranges, pineapples, and limes.

Fortnite Icon Series emotes

First up is this dance emote, dubbed "Fishin'," created by actor/singer/dancer Jordan Fisher.

Next up is this very, as the kids say, kawaii emote from the streamer Pokimane.

Who else is part of the Fortnite Icon Series? Epic has said that streamers/YouTubers like Loserfruit and TheGrefG will be getting their own in-game items, but we've yet to see those. We've yet to hear about any other Icon Series collaborators, too.

You've got to admire Fortnite's fan community. They're eager to see their favorite streamers and YouTubers represented in-game. So eager in fact that they've whipped up a ton of concept art of said internet heroes. We lurked around social media to find some of the best. Maybe Epic will take notice and make some dreams come true, eh?
