Question World of Warcraft - Worth playing again?

So I'm at that place again where I'm out of school and I'm looking to pick up the ol' MMO thing when I'm not working. It was normal for me to play WoW - but looking at all the changes it doesn't seem like it would be worth it anymore. I need a second opinion before I would be willing to open my account again. What do you guys think?

I think that most people say it's worth it. However I believe it is entirely up to you. If you miss it - play it. If you don't miss it - play APB

Pretty vague as to what changes you refer to that dont make it worth playing?

I'd say immediately its worth playing.

If you could give us your reason(s) why you left WoW we could maybe help you.

Just a pity you can't play on EU servers the PCG Guild is very welcoming

Yeah, I hear that it is. The main reason I left was because of the difficulty. I started playing it in 2005, and since then I felt the decrease in difficulty. I wasn't the type of person to complain on the forums about it, I just knew that the game wasn't going in the direction I was interested in.

Another reason was the community. Everyone was always talking about how epic they were, but since everyone had epics, a lot of people seemed to be this way. I dunno, I just played it for so long that I always feel the urge during this time to at least see where the game is. Perhaps I was just on the wrong server, haha.

I'd say wait for Cataclysm. If you found the game to be getting too easy, you'll probably find it's still too easy. For example, casters currently have virutally unlimited mana pools.

From the sounds of things, they seem to be working on getting the challenges back into the game for Cataclysm, such as making mana management a factor again. And with all of the world changes, it'll be a good time to return and maybe roll a new character.

I'll second that Arodin - you sound like you've got very little interest as it is, and slogging through Barrens might just kill it for you.

I would suggest waiting until Cataclysm rather then joining during the end game of LK. When Cata hits come and join the PCG guild. In the meantime as a low cost choice join the LOTRO F2P beta.
