Just to briefly introduce myself - name's Alex / Southpaw, ingame handle's Bestian Trueflight. I'm 20, from England and got about 3-4 years of GW under my belt. I'm back playing after a spell of inactivity brought on from infighting in my previous guild, so I'm a bit rusty, but looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.
I had a few ideas as to how to get this community achieving what it wants - feel free to shoot them down or tell me if they're already going, however.
Rusty. Out of practice. Need to relearn the ropes. Call it what you like, but frankly I suck royally at PvP these days; and I'm probably not the only one who's been lured back by the Hall of Monuments rewards to find all the skills work differently and they're frankly awful at PvP. So in my opinion a refresher course / beginners' night might be a good idea. Schedule a day and time, spread the word in and out of game, maybe even nag the powers that be into putting it on the calendar sidebar in the magazine itself (page 80 in last month's PCGUK). See how many we get.
Regular PvP nights
Pick an appropriate night, stick it on the forum for sign-ups, field multiple teams if necessary. We could have it on a different night each week, it doesn't really matter - but just a date and time might help get members online and involved.
Dunno about you guys, but I've got holiday crap coming out of my ears and clogging up my storage. I could sell it to some random fellow in Kamadan, but I'd much rather offload it on a guildmate who's going for the relevant title. Same goes for my item upgrade pane, my duplicate minipets, and so on. A trade sub-forum would mean we could sort this sort of thing out while offline, which would be useful as we're an intercontinental guild.
I've probably got more ideas floating around, but that's all that springs to mind. Sorry I'm being so forward after just joining, I'm simply excited.
See ya ingame,
