Default Enchanting Vellum

Is there a new Vellum in Cata or can we use the old one?

I had a look on Wowhead and there does not seem to be a new one. If so I want to get a few hundred ready for leveling Enchanting.

It's a little unclear. I found this at El's Inscription:

Quote:
Vellum now comes in one type only. The same Vellum is used for weapon and armor enchants, regardless of level. Pre-Cataclysm vellums either automatically convert directly into the new Vellum type, or become Charred Vellum. Charred Vellum is converted into the new click on use ((click it)). None of the old Vellum types will be wasted.
It's not clear from this whether we currently have 'Cataclysm Vellums' or not. I would suspect (and dearly hope) so! Charred Vellum draws a blank on google - I think they're confusing Charred Vellum with a Ruined Vellum. As far as I can tell, Charred Glyphs will be in Cata, but no Charred Vellum. Either way, I doubt it would hurt to stock up!

scribes can only make one velum now so I would assume that is the one that will work in cata, but I wouldn't like to say.

I read with 4.0.1 they they got rid of all high level Vellums and there is now only 1 called Enchanted Vellum, this can be made with Inscription 35. I think the intention is that low level characters can make gold from these which makes sense as they will always be required even at max level.

I'm going to get my bank alt to Inscription 35 so I can make them. There might be an opportunity to make some gold selling these while people level up enchanting.

Makes sense as glyphs will drop off once learnt, scribes need something to keep the cash flowing in.

Thanks Bel for clearing up the vellum and Chewwie for the handy link!

Took 10 minutes to level my bank alt to Inscription 35 then made 100 Vellums so I am ready to gouge the market
