The Meta Quest 3S has received a nice but not unusual 14 percent discount thanks to Amazon's Black Friday sales, bringing the price on the 128GB model down from AU$488 to AU$418. If you're after the larger 256GB model, that's arguably the better deal: it's now AU$449, down from AU$509.99.

It's worth noting that Meta is also selling these at a discount direct, though it is marginally more expensive at AU$420 for the 128GB model (the 256GB model is quite a bit more expensive at AU$560). If you happen to have a Harvey Norman nearby, they're also offering these discounted prices on the 3S model. If you're ordering online though, they'll charge for shipping whereas Amazon and Meta won't.

A nice saving on the entry level Meta Quest 3S, though it's not breaking any records on discounts: this is pretty much the sale price during every big sales event. Still, AU$418 for the best entry level VR headset on the market is great when you consider the competition. The 256GB model is also on sale for AU$449, down from AU$510.

It's worth noting that the Quest 3S, like its older and more powerful sibling, can be played both standalone (thanks to its onboard Qualcomm chip) and hooked up to your PC. Using the Steam Link app found in the Meta Quest Store, it'll play nice with all the VR games you have in your Steam library.

I'm keeping track of all the best Black Friday PC gaming deals from now until after the event itself on November 28. There's already a lot, and we're barely halfway through the month.
