Slender (or Slender: The Eight Pages) quietly revolutionised the horror game, reminding the world that big-budget lighting effects and shock tactics are never as effective as psychological tricks. It's a basic game with one trick up its massive sleeves: a monster who gradually kills you if you stare at him for too long, and who frequently shows up in your periphery, to startling effect. Throw in a forest, a flashlight and eight randomly distributed pages and you have the perfect ingredients for a new breed of horror game.

Parsec Productions are currently working on a sequel, Slender: The Arrival, which improves the look of the game and adds a storyline.
