Konami are resurrecting their Castlevania reboot, Lords of Shadow, in the hope of creating a PC version. But what's this? It's come back... different. It's now Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Ultimate Edition, which if nothing else, has the correct amount of punctuation for a proper PC game. Not that it's been dramatically altered from its console outing back in 2010.

The Ultimate Edition comes bundled with the Reverie and Resurrection DLC packs. Perhaps more importantly for fans of combat heavy action-adventures, it'll run at 60FPS, and support "enhanced 1080p HD graphics." As the owner of a 1920x1200 monitor, I'm hoping they simply forgot to add the "and above" in that last quote.

It's somewhat odd that a PC announcement has taken this long, given that Lords of Shadow 2 was already confirmed for PC last year. On the place side, this way we can all catch up on the relevant plot points. Because presumably they're mad. Because the credits include the name Hideo Kojima.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Ultimate Edition will release through Steam on August 27.
