The Witcher 3 continues to look impressively pretty, as seen here in these new screenshots. Okay, so maybe "new" is a stretch of the definition. Many are similar to old shots, with Geralt in a slightly different pose, and all are based on scenes first seen in the game's E3 trailer. Still, it's hard to begrudge CD Projekt RED milking these moments when the results look so good.

Also there's less horse bum this time. Which is either a good or bad thing, depending on your preference.

The developers have previously revealed a wish to update the series' combat, and detailed the plans with regards to DLC and DRM. But if you're more interested in learning about the world that these beautiful shots depict, you'll be wanting to read our preview.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due out next year.
